The Devil's Betrothed novel Chapter 308

Chapter 308: I Can’t Breathe

Oriana’s eyes puzzled, tried to see him in the darkness to know what more he expected from her. She could not deny this closeness with him was affecting her greatly and that is why she ran away after that dance with him.

Just when she thought she had gotten over it and was calm, once more this man was in front of her to affect her again. So close and in the darkness at that. She feared if she let herself get carried away with him, she would end up exposing herself to him.

"I-I don’t know what His Highness wants."

"Then I will trouble myself to get what I want," she heard Arlan and found his hand moving back to her face after letting go of her hand.

Even before she could stop him, the veil from her face was gone.

"Your Highness!" she exclaimed but Arlan once again put his finger on her lips to silence her and whispered, "Those guards are still around."

Oriana, who was usually smart, was easily swept by his words and kept quiet. Or maybe she wanted to play just dumb as the man in front of her was someone who had tugged her heart long back. This closeness with him was not new to her and she did not dislike it.

Was she playing along with him as well?

It was dark inside the room, and she believed he could not see her face even with the veil gone.

Seeing her not resisting, Arlan held her chin, raised her face a little up and leaned his face further closer, his lips just a breath away from hers. His fingers pinched her chin lightly, making her gasp in pain and he loved it. He loved every reaction of hers caused by him, whether a pain or pleasure.

Pleasure? He was yet to make her feel it. Maybe this was the time.

Arlan leaned further closer and captured her slightly parted lips gently with his. Oriana Hesitated at the start but the moment she felt his lips tasting hers, she gave in and started to respond slowly, his manly scent occupying her senses.

’He won’t know it’s me. Let me be selfish once more.’

It was not the first time she was kissing him. That night he was drunk, in her opinion she had taken the advantage of a drunk man. He was drunk then, but tonight he was not. He was kissing her with his conscience alive, sharing equal passion as hers.

That slow kiss, full of affection for her, as if he was pouring what he felt for her.

Oriana tiptoed and circled her hands around his neck to keep herself steady, her slender body pressed entirely against his stronger one.

Her bold actions encouraged Arlan as he held her tightly around her waist and kissed her passionately. Not being satisfied with just a tender nibbling of her lips, he pried opened her mouth and sought for her tongue.

Oriana was not new to this now after being kissed by him a few times before. It won’t be wrong to say she enjoyed it as much as he did. She responded with similar need and tasted the manly sweetness of his.

She let out soft moans as his tongue skillfully played with hers.

’She is getting better at it.’ A satisfied smirk painted on his lips while kissing her.

The pair of mates indulged in a passionate kiss, without caring for anything, filling that room with the sounds of soft moans and heavy pants.
