"Is there a possibility that, in a fit of anger, they might disregard who the woman is and become intimate with her though she is not his mate? I feel like this Dragon doesn’t adhere to the fundamental rules of divine beasts and can be intimate with any woman."
"Are you referring to yourself?" Yorian asked calmly, prepared to listen further.
Oriana nodded. "Don’t they simply wait for their mate? How can he..."
"If he treats you differently, do you think you could become his mate?" Yorian inquired.
"Me? His mate?" she retorted with a frown of irritation. "I would rather die than be his mate and forced into intimacy with that rascal under the guise of fulfilling a bond."
"Sometime’s mates are destined and sometimes divine beasts can choose someone on their own by initiation bond with marking. What if you give it a try?" Yorian asked, his gaze curiously observing each her expressions.
She chuckled like she had heard something funny. "He would never choose me as his mate. If he were to do so, it would only provide me with a better opportunity for my revenge," she added with a sinister smile. "What could be more devastating for a dragon than being rejected by its mate? It’s like killing him without any weapons or violence."
When he was expecting to see a ray of hope in her, she totally shocked him with her intentions. Yorian leaned his head on the windowsill and folded his hands in front of his chest. "I thought I had encountered enough cruelty in life, but you seem to prove me wrong, Oriana."
Her response remained unswayed by his words. "Yes, I may be cruel, but it’s he who molded me into this person. Who asked him to inflict harm on my grandfather and subject us to such treatment? He was the one who sought me out. The more cruel he is to me, the harsher his own fate becomes."
Yorian let out a resigned sigh. ’There’s no use in informing her that she is his mate; it would undoubtedly lead to trouble for them both,’ he thought. ’These two are impossible. Let’s concentrate on resolving the pressing issue of that evil witch at hand. There must be a reason behind Prince Arlan’s mistreatment of his mate and his efforts to distance himself from her. For now, I should place my trust in him rather than this fiery-tempered witch and refrain from disclosing her status as his mate.’ ƒгeewёbnovel.com
"Tonight, we shall attempt to enter the territory of that witch," Yorian declared.
Oriana’s spirits lifted at the prospect. "Yes, let’s proceed with that. I am eager to make that witch pay for tarnishing the reputation of the entire Black Witch clan due to her selfish actions. People tend to assume all Black Witches are malevolent."
