"It was given to me by the one who seeks Oriana. This rock can locate the person he’s searching for, and it led me straight to her," Zaria explained, her voice strained with effort of controlling that rock. "I’m using my powers to prevent it from reaching Oriana, but I’m not certain how long I can keep this up. If this rock reaches her, it won’t do good to her. See the red veins on it are shining that means it had detected Oriana’s presence nearby and is trying to reach her."
Evanthe turned to Sierra, who added, "She’s telling the truth. This rock originates from another realm."
Zaria fixed her gaze on Sierra, who was draped in a white hooded robe. "You seem to know more about it. Tell me who Oriana really is and the person who created this rock, or I can’t guarantee my patience in holding this rock at bay."
"Are you threatening us with her safety?" Yorian retorted, his skepticism clear. "And yet you claim you want to protect her?" ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
"To effectively protect her, I need to understand the full situation," Zaria countered firmly. "I need to know who she truly is and that person looking for her."
"You won’t get any information from us," Yorian declared, the animosity clear in his gaze.
"Alright, let’s see if I get answers once this rock reaches Oriana," Zaria threatened, beginning to ease her magical grip on the stone.
"Don’t," Sierra interrupted urgently, halting Zaria’s actions.
"Now you give in?"
Sierra nodded reluctantly, only to be met by Yorian’s stern voice, "Don’t fall for her tricks. If she releases that rock, the three of us can intervene before it reaches Oriana."
Zaria let out a mocking laugh, while Sierra countered, "We can’t do that. Any divine intervention on that rock will alert its creator, who will then know what this Black witch is up to. If she truly wants to protect Oriana, like us, then we cannot risk alerting him."
"No way we can trust her with information about Oriana. She’s not reliable," Yorian argued.
"You can keep your precious opinions about me to yourself; I don’t need to hear them repeatedly when there are more pressing matters at hand," Zaria retorted, her tone dripping with disdain. "Feel free to write me a letter filled with your hatred, though. I might give it a read."
With his disdainful gaze locked on her, Yorian scoffed, "That won’t be enough. Taking your life is the only way."
"Yorian," Evanthe intervened, her voice calm, trying to deescalate the tension. She placed a hand on his shoulder, "You’ll get your chance, but not now. Oriana is our priority."
Yorian nodded, the mention of Oriana seeming to soothe his enraged mind somewhat. "Go ahead."
"You should learn from Evanthe, Yorian. See how calm and thoughtful she is even after I had hurt her son a while back," Zaria commented, reminding them the attack on Drayce and Seren which left Drayce gravely injured.
"There will be a day when I will make you pay for it, rest assured," Evanthe commented, her expressions calm but her heart was filled fury.
"I will wait for that day," Zaria said, having a wicked smirk on her lips.
Sierra stepped forward to intervene these three past enemies, addressing Zaria, "I will tell you. Just put that rock back."
