In the demon realm.
Inside the grand throne hall, a figure appeared out of thin air and landed on the floor, the darkness binding her as a captive, released her, and sucked back by the black stone hung in the air.
Oriana, shocked and exhausted at the same time, panted heavily as she lay on her stomach on the ancient looking cold stone floor. She felt like she had gone through heavy labor to even lift her finger at the moment. All she remembered was that she was about to be marked by Arlan and suddenly a powerful force disturbed the ceremony just on time.
’Where am I?’ She opened her eyes and tried to sit up on the floor with her hands pressed against the cold floor for support, her long hair disheveled as it covered the sides of her face entirely. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
She could feel the different essence in the air, a familiar one- Demon realm.
’That rock truly brought me here,’ she looked around the empty stone hall with majestic pillars, which was shining with a mild sunlight. As if chill ran down her spine, she felt someone’s presence in the throne hall and raised her gaze up to look ahead as if passed those few stairs and then moved towards the grand throne carved out of the black rock with red vines glowing like a mesh.
The majestic throne was not empty, but a towering figure clad in dark royal looking clothes was sitting on it, with its eyes closed.
’Who is he?’
Just then a man opened his eyes, his pitch dark irises as if piercing her soul.
"My Esmeray," his dignified heavy voice echoed inside the empty throne, "Finally you came back to me. I knew you would."
A threatening shiver ran her entire body, making her weaker than before. It was the same voice that threatened her in her nightmares for all her life. Even when she did not have nightmares, this voice never stopped ringing in at the back of her head, scaring her as if one day someone would come for her and take her away from everything she cherished.
Seems like that fear has just come true.
The man stood up from the throne, his tall figure visible to her eyes, he seemed taller and robust than any man she had ever seen in the human realm. Are Demon’s supposed to be taller than humans?
A powerful darkness surrounded him, as if he was showing his authority over everything around, including her and subconsciously Oriana found herself being submitted to that darkness. His steps echoed in the throne hall as he walked towards her. Oriana, scared, wished to go away but she could not, she was exhausted to even stand up.
Snowflake had brought her to the Demon realm before, but she did not feel exhausted but why now. She understood Snowflake had protected her with her powers, and now she missed her.
