Ember found the tendrils of darkness leaving his body and starting to surround her. She didn’t know what was going to happen, but all of a sudden, she found herself immobile as those dark tendrils held her body in place. Her hands were pinned to the bed as those tendrils gripped her wrists.
She tried to free her wrists but failed. Now she realized how strong she herself must be; the absolute darkness her mate possessed was overpowering.
"Draven?" she mumbled, uncertainty and a little panic in her voice.
In response, Draven leaned his face closer to hers, his dark eyes losing any gentleness. His nose brushed against hers, seemingly ravishing her ragged breathing. The beast wished to dive into her scent as he closed his eyes.
Ember tried to calm herself and let her body relax, closing her eyes. She could smell his true scent, strongest when his beast form was prominent— Green forest and peppermint.
But just then, Ember found something wrapping around her ankles, and she knew it was the tendrils of darkness. Her legs were being parted apart slowly, letting Draven settled between them. She tried to free her legs, but just like her writs and all of a her body, she couldn’t move a muscle.
Draven looked at her like a predator, making her heart skip a beat despite her being ready to accept the beast. She had told him to not hold back and be his trueself, but she had not expected it would go this way when she would be like a trapped rabbit, waiting to be devoured.
She knew the meaning of this look: a strong lust toward his mate, one that knew nothing but mating and making her his.
Her trembling lips opened to say something to the darkness, but....
"Ahh...!"
A loud cry left her lips as Draven entered her without warning. Her body, held in place by his darkness, couldn’t even move to resist or stand against the pain.
Her eyes shut, her breath stuck in her chest, and lines of tears formed at the corners of her eyes. He watched her, his gaze showing no consideration toward her pain, but it seemed to entice him even more.
Seeing her in pain, pain due to mating, seemed to make him feel he had his claim on her alone. She was his, and only he could mate with her.
He didn’t wait for her to settle or get used to what he did, in fact, he pulled out and did the same again, ravishing seeing her in pain, facing his way inside her again and again. His darkness not letting her move or get away from him.
All that was left were her painful cries, mixed with his animalistic growls. The entire chamber started to fill with the darkness emitting from him.
Ember’s cries quieted down after a long while, replaced by cries of pleasure mixed with the pain caused by his roughness.
The entire night, he let her know what it truly meant when she asked him to let his beast out and what it meant to be the mate of a dragon, who seemed to have little consideration while mating with his female.

Ember straight away woke up in the late afternoon next day. When she woke up, Draven was by her side. All dressed like usual, his gaze observing her with a worry, though he knew she was absolutely fine.
Ember stirred in her sleep, having furrowed lines on her forehead in a pain. Her body felt like a broken mess and she felt she might separate each bone of her body if she tried to.
"Are you alright?"
She heard a familiar deep and dignified voice, which carried the tinge of worry in it.
Ember opened her eyes and shivered for a moment, but then seeing those red eyes instead of the dark one, she calmed down. But seeing Draven, those memories of the last night started to surface.
How he mercilessly took her again and again. When she wanted him to stop, she had no chance to even tell him to stop. All her throat could let out was cries.
Animal. His beast was like an animal. He loved to do it like the animal way.
Draven observed her and through the bond he could feel that fear inside her.
"It’s me," he assured.
"I...I know..." she said, feeling a little embarrassed and thought, ’and I am glad it’s you.’
Draven sighed inwardly. He knew his beast had overdone it, but then she was the one to provoke him and call for him.
He caressed her cheek and said, "Now you know, what not to do."
She nodded immediately. She was not going to call for his beast side out unless her body is stronger like beast females who are meant to bear it with ease. She had truly overestimated her ability to stand against the dangerous and most powerful divine beast.
’Deity of fire, the most powerful being in the three realms?’ Ember frowned at herself, ’seems like a joke to me now.’
"I will ask Evanthe to prepare a strong healing potion of you...."

"No!" Ember interrupted him. "No need to involve others. I can be fine on my own."
"Are you sure?" he asked again.
"Yes," she said firmly while she thought, ’I don’t want to be embarrassed in front of her.’
As if Draven sensed her thoughts, he spoke, "You don’t need to be embarrassed in front of her. She herself has a Dragon as her soulmate and mated with him. She knows..."
"I know. But I just don’t want to," Ember denied firmly and tried to sat in bed. "Now you go out and send Clio and Reya to help me. I want to soak in hot water." freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
"I can take you somewhere better," he offered.
She offered him a conflicted gaze, only to hear him say again. "Trust me. I wanted to take you there long back, but with your unsettled energy core, I was advised against it."
