The Fake Heiress Turns Out to Be a True Tycoon! novel Chapter 13

Chapter 13: Chapter 13 This is the Fox I Raised

Nightfall.

The Jennings Family villa was shrouded in silence, with only a few bedrooms still lit.

Scarlett lay on the pink princess bed, gazing at the starry sky painted above, its faint glow scattering in the night—dreamy yet comforting.

It was meant to prevent a child from waking up in the middle of the night, scared of the surrounding darkness.

From the arrangement of the room alone, one could tell how much Lucas's parents anticipated her birth.

It was a kinship that Scarlett had never felt before.

Because in the Garrison Family, there was never any anticipation for her arrival.

If there had to be an expectation, it was probably for her death.

After all, her death could bring a lifetime of fortune and smooth sailing for Isolde Garrison.

Scarlett closed her eyes, refusing to think about the people and matters of the Garrison Family, and instead started contemplating another issue—

Ever since she entered the Jennings Household, no one had mentioned her biological mother.

Was she no longer alive?

Or was there another hidden story?

Just as she was pondering, a familiar cry pierced sharply into her consciousness, prompting Scarlett to abruptly open her eyes.

Thinking of something, her expression changed, and she suddenly got up, grabbed a coat, and quickly ran to the window.

That was the direction from which the voice came.

Opening the window, Scarlett only took one glance at the dark night sky. The next second, a Yellow Talisman magically appeared in her hand, and she briskly tossed it into the air while quickly chanting,

"Heaven and earth be clear, universe unite, I declare the Imperial Decree, let the gentle breeze come!"

After chanting, she braced herself with one hand and leaped out of the third-floor windowsill without hesitation.

The next second, a breeze enveloping the Yellow Talisman flew back towards her, and as Scarlett's body plummeted, it seemed as if it was wrapped by the breeze, which then gently carried her safely to the ground.

By the window on the second floor, Lucas Jennings, who was furiously "battling" with his brother on his phone, caught a glimpse of something falling from above. Distracted, he turned his head, causing his game to pop up a death notification.

"Oh my dad!"

Lucas exclaimed in agony, leaping up from his chair, remembering who lived upstairs, and stormed to the window in rage, wanting to see what his uncouth cousin had thrown down.

He was ready to retrieve whatever it was and throw it back directly at her face.

However, as he peered down, he saw a figure rapidly moving through the garden. Just as Lucas tried to take a closer look, the figure had already vanished.

Lucas stared intently in the direction where the figure had disappeared.

"What the ghost?"

Although engrossed in his game, Lucas had excellent vision.

That silhouette just now, why did it look so much like that charlatan Scarlett?

And when did she come downstairs??

...

At the main gate, as soon as Scarlett exited, she quickly ran in a specific direction.

From a distance, she spotted a three-story villa, brightly lit inside, and as she approached, she could faintly hear some chaotic noises within.

"Ow ow!"

Another familiar cry sounded. Scarlett briskly walked and then ran to the villa's main gate. Through the garden's iron gate, she indeed saw several bodyguards chasing a small creature around.

Just as one of the bodyguards took out a baton aiming to hit the creature, Scarlett's expression changed, and she shouted through the gate,
