Jennings Family.
Located in the heart of Sea City, Silver River No.1 is the most prestigious neighborhood in the whole city.
Despite the prime real estate value, the villa compound boasts a greening rate of 80%, complete with a man-made lake and expensively crafted artificial hills in the gardens.
The security personnel for the villas are all former special forces, and purchasing a property here requires wealth verification, as it is the gathering place for the top-tier elites of Sea City.
Scarlett Garrison knew this place.
Timothy Garrison had always coveted buying a house here.
Because living here means being neighbors with the elite, and being considered one of them.
A fleet of helicopters landed neatly on the spacious helipad of the residential area; a black Maybach was waiting nearby. The three switched vehicles, and the car drove through the expansive lawns of the garden, finally stopping in front of a four-story manor.
Donovan Jennings got out of the car with Scarlett Garrison, but Samuel Chalmers remained seated.
When it's time for a family reunion, even close friends shouldn't disturb; that's proper manners.
Donovan Jennings waved his hand, and the Maybach started again, driving deeper into the estate.
"The Chalmers family lives just up ahead, I'll formally take you to visit them later."
After explaining, Donovan led Scarlett Garrison inside.
The European-style manorial villa exuded luxury and grandeur.
Walking through the garden, entering the main door, bypassing the vestibule, and entering the living room, Scarlett Garrison was immediately met with the sight of a large group of the Jennings family members sitting in the hall.
On the way here, Donovan had already briefly introduced them to her.
As Scarlett had guessed, the Jennings family is indeed one of the Four Great Families of Sea City, consisting of four branches, three sons and one daughter, all with their own families.
The patriarch, due to health reasons, had retired the year before last, passing control of Jennings Group to the eldest son, Luca Jennings.
The second uncle, Michael Jennings, was a nationally famous singer in his youth and later started his own entertainment company, now a top figure in the industry.
The third uncle, Blaise Jennings, serves as vice president of Jennings Group, solely managing several key industries of the group.
The aunt, Brianna Jennings, is a powerful woman herself, having built an international top-tier brand, with significant influence in the fashion industry.
As for the other younger members, perhaps because the Jennings family is abundantly virile, all four branches have only male grandchildren, except for the youngest daughter in the second branch, and also Azura Loomis, a daughter fostered by Mrs. Jennings from her maternal family.
Looking at the present, it was clear that most branches of the Jennings family had gathered.
Upon seeing Scarlett Garrison and Donovan Jennings enter, all heads turned in unison, each gaze scrutinizing, curious, disdainful, or subtly disapproving.
"Grandpa."
Donovan behaved normally, stepping forward and calling out to the elderly man sitting in the center of the sofa, while introducing, "This is Scarlett."
He gestured towards Scarlett Garrison,
"Scarlett, call him Grandpa."
Scarlett Garrison looked towards the elderly man sitting upright in the center, smiling at her.
Although not very proficient in face reading, she noticed that despite the old man's smiling eyes, his prominent nose bridge, broad forehead, and deeply set eyes signified a person of strong personal opinions.
In other words, this was a person used to giving orders.
"Grandpa," said Scarlett Garrison obediently.
The elder nodded with a warm expression, "Good, it's good you're back. From now on, you are the young miss of the Jennings family, and no one is allowed to bully you."
