As Tony finished his sentence, the sound of footsteps came from the doorway of the pasta restaurant.

Nolan came running back, panting heavily as he approached Matthew. "I'm sorry. I thought you were a scammer and that you'd call out to me as I left to try and sell me something. I didn't expect you to just let me walk away without calling me back. That's when I realized you were genuine. I came back to thank you."

Matthew's face lit up with joy as he smiled. It wasn't about the thank you but the fact that Nolan had taken his word to heart and would likely try out the tips at home.

Grinning, Matthew added, "I'll repeat what I just told you in case you don't remember. Take out your phone and turn on the recording function as I go over it once more."

Nolan repeatedly nodded. "Good idea. Honestly, I ran back here because I forgot a couple of things."

As Nolan spoke, he pulled out his phone and turned on the recording feature.

Matthew iterated his instructions again, then continued, "Don't expect immediate results in just a day or two. You need to be patient and stick with it. It'll be a pleasant surprise."

Nolan was thrilled as he listened and eagerly nodded. "Okay, I'll remember that. I'll make sure to follow through. Could I ask for your name?"

Mattew chuckled. "My last name is Grant."

With his face lit up with hope, Nolan asked, "How should I address you?"

Matthew hesitated for a moment, then gave his name. "Matthew Grant!"

Nolan made a mental note of Matthew's name. He was about to say something when the restaurant owner set down two plates of pasta on the table.

Upon seeing this, Nolan made the payment via PayPal with his phone, then turned to Matthew and said, "I've paid for your bills. Thanks again. I'll be on my way."

Tony's wrinkled face beamed brightly. He had been worried about not having money to pay, so this worked out perfectly.
