Chapter39
He had been looking for Sylvia on this side for so long but didn’t see her, so he had to try his luck at the fashion show.
D.R. invited her specially, but she didn’t show up, which seemed a bit arrogant and conceited.

Backstage at this moment, all the preparations have been completed.
Daniela finally found a moment to take Lindsey to the lounge and have a chat.
“Should we go up and say a few words in a while? Our dear Sylvia,” she joked with Lindsey as she opened the live stream of the fashion show.
At the moment, the model hasn’t come out yet. The one speaking on stage is the designer of this theme, sharing her design concept.
Lindsey shook her head, “No, I’d better not. My ex–fiance is still looking for me, I don’t want to cause trouble.”
When she made the decision not to renew with the Woodward Group, she had thought that Eliezer would try to persuade her to stay, but she didn’t expect him to personally intervene.
After all, given his current position at the Woodward Group, he wouldn’t care even if the entire Design Department was cut.
She didn’t renew the contract, there are other people in the Design Department. It’s not like three years ago when we were under attack, there really is no need to go to such lengths.
“Ex–husband–to–be? You haven’t divorced yet?”
Daniela raised an eyebrow, her focus slightly shifting.
She sat up straight and looked at Lindsey, her tone serious. “Gabrielle, you can’t fall in love and still have illusions about men. Let me tell you, men are all no good. This marriage needs to end soon, no dragging it out!”
Eliezer looked like a human being, but as soon as he got married, he sent his new wife abroad, all for another woman, what a jerk!
Daniela thought angrily, looking at Lindsey with a heartache.
No sooner had the words fallen than a teasing voice with a smile behind it
came.
“Mrs. Conner’s words are a bit too sweeping, are all men really bad? Are your two sons and several nephews all bad?”
“Cursing at me and even bringing your husband into it, I was heartbroken to hear that.”
The man who walked in was dressed in a cream–colored suit similar to Fernando’s, wearing a pair of gold–rimmed glasses, and exuded a very elegant demeanor.
“Uncle.” Lindsey smiled and greeted him as she stood up.
“Sit down quickly, what’s the point of being so reasonable as a family.”
Odin quickly raised his hand to let her sit down, and sat down next to Daniela himself, then opened the thermos he had brought and handed it to the person next to him.
“Come have a drink, you must be tired after working all night.”
As soon as the lid was opened, the aroma of chicken soup wafted out from the thermos.
But Daniela rejected it, “What are you doing bringing this here on such a late night? Do you think I’m not fat enough? And using my thermos to hold chicken soup, really!”
She didn’t spare any words, but reached out and took it, drinking it in small sips.
Odin smiled contentedly and gave her a shoulder massage, “Where have you gained weight? You’re so thin, almost just bones. You should take care of yourself. It’s not that you can’t drink too much from a thermos, you just think the thermos is too ugly.”
Lindsey quietly ate the dog food on the side, the sweetness making her lips curl.
She was also surprised to see this side of her aunt, such a gentle woman.
