After speaking, Nolan glanced at Scarlet.
Scarlet approached Leonard with a seemingly kind smile and asked, "How would you like to die? Forget it. I shouldn't have asked. I'll give you a clean and swift ending."
With that, Scarlet gently placed his hand on Leonard's throat. That hand, almost as soft and gentle as a woman's, now carried the weight of death, ready to take a life at any moment.
Leonard broke down completely, terrified to the point of wetting his pants.
"No, please don't kill me. I'm Leonard Stone, an employee of Myth Group. I have a bright future ahead of me. I can't die!
"Nolan, I beg you, please spare me. I swear I'll follow your every command, and I'll never oppose you again. Spare me, please! If you kill me, Myth Group will come after you, and they won't let you go!"
Nolan replied calmly, "Whether they let me go or not is no longer your concern. Now, say your final words. And make them count because there won't be a second chance."
Realizing that Nolan was serious, Leonard summoned all his strength and turned toward Kara and the others. Looking at Kara who was pale and trembling with fear, his heart filled with hatred.
If not for her, Leonard would still be an enviable young talent. All this was her fault—it was she who brought him to this birthday party. It was she who provoked this terrifying demon, Nolan.
But why was she still alive?
Leonard felt an urge to curse her, but at this moment, his survival instincts overrode his anger.
