The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 388

Audrey dared not believe and couldn't believe what she had heard. She knew the grudges between Megan and Nolan too well. They would never reconcile with each other no matter what.

Kara gritted her teeth and said, "Audrey, why would I lie to you? It was true. Jeanne called and told me this. They even had a meal together this noon.

"Oh, Nolan's parents came too. Do you think it could be them who matchmade the two?"

Audrey seemed slightly dejected. She felt extremely miserable after losing Nolan, but she wouldn't blame him. She only blamed herself for not believing him.

But now, she was hearing that Nolan was staying at Megan's house and that the two might make up with each other. The extreme pain made Audrey lose control of herself.

"It's possible. Nolan is someone who values his relationships with others. He's exceptionally nice to his parents. He wasn't there for his parents when he was in prison for three years, so he'll surely feel like making up for it.

"He can make up for it through other ways. How can he do this? Megan isn't a good person. She hurt Nolan more than once. And now, she'll surely hurt him.

"No way. This won't do. I can't sit by and see Nolan getting hurt by Megan again. I'm going to look for him now." With that, Audrey stood up and wanted to leave the house.

Just then, Kara said through gritted teeth, "Audrey, I'll go with you."

Upon hearing that, Audrey hesitated for a while before she finally nodded.

Soon, the two arrived at Megan's villa. However, Audrey was slightly hesitant as she stood at the door.

"Audrey, what's wrong? Ring the doorbell. We'll go in." Kara stared at Audrey, looking baffled.
