Chapter 167: Interior Decoration

But before the whispers were the exclamations.

Ollie couldn’t believe what happened while they were all sleeping.

Well, the three of them because, by the looks of it, his brother and the mover stayed up all night trying to fix this up, whatever this was.

Of course, they were excited and definitely surprised to learn that their guild base had been renovated.

Who wouldn’t be when it’s only been how many hours since they got back? Not to mention the implementation of the curfew! ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

Kyle actually thought that Xavier must’ve hired someone while they were away. But when they got to their lot, they were surprised to see that it was exactly the same.

It was the same rickety old shack.

And they really wanted to ask, but when they turned around, Luca looked like a proud animal, one with his hands on his waist and an imaginary rounded stomach jutting out.

Luca looked too proud to be called out, and Xavier, the demonic overlord, stood behind the new boss-man like a waiting guardian.

So Kyle just held it all in, that was until they entered.

As the group stepped through the unassuming, weather-beaten toolshed door—half expecting to trip over a rusty rake or some dislodged flooring—the three first-timers froze in collective astonishment.

Their rickety shack had been hiding a secret that no amount of creaky hinges or peeling paint could have hinted at.

Instead of the dim, cobwebbed gloom they anticipated, they were greeted by a gilded double door. The golden carvings hinted at something far removed from their originally dubious shack.

The three stood in stunned silence, their eyes wide with disbelief as they stepped into what looked like another world.

The air was crisp and cool, carrying with it the faint scent of blooming flowers and fresh water.

And Jax reveled in this.

He wasn’t even sure what these flowers were, but he definitely wanted to adopt them!

On the other hand, Ollie concentrated on the floating gazebo, which was nestled under the protective arch of what looked like a natural cove.

And did he mention how it hovered over a pond?

Because it did.

And there were even flowers floating around, looking all alive and well, something that was now impossible to see unless in a man-made pool and with artificial flowers.

The space wasn’t huge.

In fact, other than the main gazebo, the expansive garden, and the shaded area by the back, this was pretty much everything.

While the new office wasn’t rife with spiritual energy like Luca’s Dungeon, it definitely didn’t feel lacking.

How could it be when Luca unknowingly used more Energy Crystals than required to power up the pocket dimension?

"Is this part of the space? And are we seriously bringing people over here?" Kyle had to ask as his eyes bugged out at the thought of allowing random clients into Luca’s space.
