The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL] novel Chapter 266

Chapter 266: Proposition

Luca had to be carried back, and Xavier was more than happy to do it because it was all his fault.

And now, the little money grubber whose golden eyes dimmed in stress had to be coaxed to look at the account balances so that he could regain strength.

Luca’s forehead was nestled in the crook of Xavier’s neck as he weakly scrolled through the familiar and comforting numbers he usually stared at nightly.

"I will get you more if it’s not enough," said the worried Prince, who had to continue rubbing the golden dragon’s back to console him.

In Xavier’s case, he didn’t even need to think of depressing thoughts to calm his earlier excitement, as just seeing Luca wilted like this had been more than enough to do the job.

He really had to make sure they don’t go broke ever, or this one might not be able to recover.

This was how they entered the waiting room where everyone was currently located.

Ollie was dumbstruck to see this scene of Xavier carrying his now sickly little brother!

"Brother, what happened to you?! Do you need to go to the hospital?!" Asked the blonde, who rushed after seeing Luca looking so pale and weary.

"No, brother, I am fine now. I—it was just a momentary financial crisis," replied Luca, who really experienced an unprecedented catastrophe as he imagined the worst.

Technically, there could have been worse things, but in the mind of someone who worked so hard with so many people for this money, his brain short-circuited immediately.

Xavier was right. It was definitely effective. It was just that he should probably only do this next to a stretcher.

Honestly, it wasn’t even just Luca who was affected by this, but D-29, whose sheep counting had to stop after hearing such debilitating threats.

The little system had to actually check on all the accounts in case there had been hacking or, worse, spending.

And while a system should’ve known better, it was hard not to go on overdrive when the sea of consciousness was in such turmoil!

Thankfully, this horrible scenario turned out to be nothing more than a brief yet deeply traumatizing nightmare.

As a consolation, they even received a solemn promise from the benefactor that he’d bring in even greater riches in the future—a promise that D-29 managed to record in triplicate.

It was not that the benefactor failed in fulfilling his promises, but it must continue to remind them in case this long-term promise was forgotten.

Lest they risk experiencing the plight of one jilted princess.

Obviously, said princess would deny such accusations until the guilty was charged, but that didn’t mean she could sit around doing nothing—especially when her father’s arrival was right around the corner.

And so here she was, in the guild renowned for their handsome men.

Yes. As much as Ada would like to deny it, the purpose of the Princess wasn’t exactly the assets and secrets of DG, but the men themselves.

It was just that she was now unsure of their battle plan, considering the troubling facts they had discovered.

DG officially has five Academy members, all of whom were known on Star Net forums as the ’Flower Boys.’

Aside from the fact that they work with actual spiritual flowers, many have attested that whenever these young men walked through the campus, it was impossible not to see flowers blossoming in their wake.

But now, here in the flesh, all Ada could see was dog food.

So much sickening dog food that she could’ve sworn that the Princess turned even greener than usual.

Princess Kira’s eyes were fixated with undeniable fascination on Xavier’s gentle fingers, which kept slowly and soothingly stroking that young man’s slender back.

Each time the golden-eyed koala stirred restlessly, the Star Mall Bunbun would instinctively glance down to check on him, tenderness obvious in his gaze.

Obviously, they were an item, which caused Kira to visibly deflate while Ada’s heart sank for the originally hopeful princess.

Now, technically, those were only two of the five, and they were even those known to the entire school.

But how come no one mentioned the red-headed man’s long list of children?!

As an Orc Princess, it would be impossible to let her own offspring compete with enough children to fill an entire notebook!

It was a clear no.
