The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL] novel Chapter 267

Chapter 267: Personal Grievances

But more than those involved, the ones who were actually most affected were the flies on the wall—namely, the three other applicants.

Ada could only sigh as she buried her face in her palms.

They hadn’t even officially joined the guild, yet the princess had already managed to trigger a diplomatic incident.

This was the scene that a sufficiently recovered Luca witnessed. While it took a while, thanks to the accounts’ safe and increasing balances, he could now listen to his brother’s grumblings.

"Brother! Is this the face of a cheater?!" asked the disgruntled mechanic who was clutching at his face.

"Our family motto does not allow us to cheat! If my Pop hears about this, I’d be wrung dry!"

Luca, the ever-supportive brother, could only nod at everything that Ollie was ranting about.

Meanwhile, across the room, which wasn’t even a few steps away, Princess Kira was absolutely unmoved by the defense.

"The crime was clear as day," she said, arms folded. "He reeked of another man while discussing new prospects. That is scandalous!"

No. What was scandalous was how he seemed to be the man. Kyle thought as he itched to drink medicine for this.

The adjutant and two-time ex-boyfriend has actually given up and waved his hand dismissively. "He’s rooming in with us. That’s why you think he smells like me."

"That’s really it. Nothing’s happening."

Oh.

The Princess narrowed her eyes before a sudden realization dawned on her.

"Ohhhh."

Everyone blinked. And a few sighed, thinking that finally they could be done with this.

But the Princess suddenly shook her head in understanding before walking over to the other corner where Ollie had dragged over Luca.

"Lord Mylor," she began solemnly. "I would like to apologize for not seeing clearly."

Ollie was stunned at the sudden grace, feeling like maybe, just maybe, this misunderstanding would finally be resolved—

But she continued just as he was about to accept the sincere apology.

"And I would just like to say that I support you in your cause."

"...Cause?"

Luca: "?"

Everyone: "???"

"I’ve read about this," Princess Kira declared. "Unrequited devotion, secret yearning and then denial due to societal expectations or lack of appreciation. I just didn’t expect you to be the one experiencing it."

"Wait. What...?"

Princess Kira held up a hand, her eyes misty with tragic understanding. "Sometimes, men—especially those indifferent ones—need a push. A bit of competition so they get reminded what they could lose! You must let him see your worth!"

The room collectively short-circuited.

And Ada, in particular, looked like she wanted to evacuate.

But her boss was not done.

"And while I cannot compete for your hand since we appear to be batting for the same team, I will support you in your noble quest to win over your aloof man!"

Ollie screamed internally. Possibly externally. And the hair on his head almost split apart after hearing this.

But if everyone was confused about what was happening, one little system was actually in full agreement.

"Host! Her Royal Highness seems to be astute! We have reached the same conclusion!" D-29 agreed.

"Based on the scent-based imprinting theory that has been popular recently, there is a 78.2% correlation based on the nightly logs and synchronized activity timestamps!"

"Captain, you handle the rest." Please. Kyle muttered to Xavier, who had been standing there unworriedly.

How lucky.
