It was the clients who benefitted the most.
With eight new hires added to DG’s roster, the facility’s workflow shifted from "surviving" to "thriving."
And for the first time since they opened their doors, they weren’t running around like headless chickens.
Well, mostly.
With the four new student members, they were able to outsource four from the House of Kyros.
Steward Han had to be pulled from managing the Sanctuary as he was the logical choice when they needed someone who could use the Purification Chamber without risking the prying eyes of the Empire.
Butler Gary originally offered to work at the facility, but everyone else agreed that his appearance on the floor would raise too many flags.
Someone as prominent as him who was known to transact on behalf of the House would very well trigger an investigation as to who was left to manage the Duchy.
This was especially true for the pouting Duke who hated the fact that he couldn’t go in there and make those old farts see how great his son was.
Alas, that was for next time.
And so, to appease the Duke who had been in charge of manning the Chamber, he was redirected towards looking for the remaining materials for the Energy stabilizers and containers.
The influx of CP and the ores sent over by Princess Kira jumpstarted this search, as they now hoped to make a prototype to test the viability outside the protected spaces.
However, given that they were still relying on the spaces, even Head Maid Gloria was gracious enough to work in the VIP lounge with Maid Kana, who had experience handling their one-of-a-kind food.
Then there was their last import, Doctor Philip, who once was Duke Leander’s physician and was aware of how to take care of all these passed–out soldiers after doing it for the fifty-four people of the Duchy.
His job was supposed to be easy, but surprisingly, it’s usually the most dramatic as soldiers start figuring out that something is up with their bodies. And all the Doctor could do is smile mysteriously.
It was the oddest job.
It made him look extremely saintly without actually understanding anything. But as a Doctor, he couldn’t help marveling at their Young Lord’s miracles!
And each soldier cured just added to his long list of things to be thankful for!
But he wasn’t the only one with this kind of point of view.
Theo was now incharge of assisting with one-time appointments and has been living with boxes of tissue papers as he tried his best not to cry when pet owners thank him like he’s done God’s work.
While he was only assisting the actual specialist, he had seen many that honestly only needed the short exposure to energy to regain vitality that had long been lost.
And it was a sight to behold.
Beasts that looked like they were about to see the light were suddenly making movements they hadn’t made in years, and the owners were more than glad they made the trip.
More than that, they were extremely glad they were entertained in such a posh facility that was rumored to only cater to the rich and famous.
And news about this actually spread through the forums, especially when the guild, in particular Kyle, sent out official notices thanking the sponsors for allowing for such a subsidized program.
Those who could pay the minimal amount of 10,000 Star Coins would pay, but those who could not afford it got the treatments in the name of the exhaustive list of sponsors.
In turn, this made for very proud sponsors who made it a point to pass by the VIP lounge, even if it meant traveling from far away planets just to do so.
