There were no lengthy contracts, not even a blood pact. Instead, what they faced was a tiny outstretched pinky.
The couple blinked at this until their son practically pushed them towards it. Not that it was possible, but the effort showed.
"Will this be enough?" questioned the marquis, who was trying to figure out how this would be able to hold.
But when their pinkies lit up of sorts, he figured there was something ancient about it, and suddenly he understood that these people weren’t just dealing with paper contracts.
It was the same for his wife, although after seeing that flash of light, the careful mother felt better about the security. No wonder their son couldn’t open his mouth.
Good.
Very good.
Because with how their son had been wiggling in his seat, they would need something stronger than duct tape to keep him from blurting anything.
But just as they thought they’d be able to start conversing there. Everyone in that small office suddenly got transported elsewhere, and when the newly added couple came to, they were standing in some grassland while being bombed by an even stronger whiff of spiritual energy.
If they were able to hold on earlier, it was nearly impossible now as the two were almost to their knees with how sudden this was.
"Oh no! My Lord, My Lady! I’m sorry, maybe I should have warned you before doing that!" Apologized Luca, who panicked after realizing that he might have been too hasty to transfer to a more secure place. free𝑤ebnovel.com
"No...no. There’s no need to apologize, we were just surprised, my dear." Responded Marquise Julienne as she tried standing back up with the assistance of her husband.
For someone who could rarely be brought down to her knees by weapons or attacks, she had to admit that they had no training for something like this.
No wonder their Ollie looked like that when he came back!
He might have been scared shitless but he sure as hell did not look like he had been through the trials of life.
But of course, who would look withered when something like this existed?
"Now, are we allowed to know where we are?"
Marquis Osmond looked around. For a moment, he thought they were suddenly transported into the heart of the daycare, but the energy concentration alone should be an indicator that they were somewhere else.
"Pop! We’re inside Luca’s Dungeon Space!" Grinned Ollie, who was rubbing his face against his good brother’s head.
"Awesome, right?!"
The glimmer in Ollie’s eyes was evident, but it was understandable, for before them was vegetation that they’d never seen the likes of.
Plants and what looked like trees surrounded them, as if corruption had never been an issue. And for some reason, it felt like the air alone was enough to survive on.
But apparently, these kids weren’t just going for survival; they were brought here to see a surprise that even caught their own son off guard.
Luca asked everyone if they wanted to come with him to see something, and as they walked, Ollie finally took the chance to answer his parents’ questions:
"In truth, time here moves three times faster than outside, and it’s so packed with spiritual energy that even plants and creatures thrive better here."
He sounded so casual when saying that when everyone knew just how ground-breaking that was.
The actual space alone was something, and to say that time moves three times faster here? Talk about productivity!
Marquis Osmond then recalled something, eyes narrowing thoughtfully. "The Star Mall fruit vendor—was that connected to this?"
Luca sheepishly nodded. "Yes, Lord Osmond, I started it, but now many of us are involved too."
