The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL] novel Chapter 357

Chapter 357: Very Close

Ambitious.

These kids planned on doing something so ambitious it didn’t sound real.

As if it wasn’t enough to just see this place where they apparently would have a cabin to teleport in and out of, they were even taken to a Dungeon-Linked space, where they were surprised to see this many people!

"Pop, unlike us, they pass through a different gate. But just like us, these people are also under oath!"

And what enthusiastic people they have over here, as everyone greeted them while in the middle of warming up.

Huh?

Wait? Warm-up?

"Why does it seem like everyone’s warming up? Are they about to transport something impossibly heavy?" Marquis Osmond said as he looked at the people who were stretching and jumping in place.

Or was everyone here just health-conscious?

Well, apparently not. For they were actually looking at the great battle for party invites, er...supremacy!

"It’s for the celebration later, My Lord! In about an hour, there will be a competition for who gets what shifts at the new arena."

"Shifts for the celebration?"

"See, the poor souls who won’t get to come during the actual dinner won’t see all the food laid out like that!" Ollie dramatized with his arms stretched out.

"They’d get to eat the same things, but it’s just different, Pop!"

Kyle listened to Ollie’s retelling while remembering how that shorty almost had nothing to eat, yet he was very excited.

"Luca, about the dinner, would it be possible to at least portion the main dishes?"

"Huh?"

"I mean, would it be possible to have each plate have a bit of everything? Like pre-portioning it so everyone gets to taste whatever we’re having." Clarified the adjutant, who was hoping they’d have time to implement this.

Oh.

OH!

Luca looked at Kyle like he’d heard something life-changing and said that they should do it like that. Maybe like this, people would stop trying to kill each other over dinner!

"Do it like what?" bounced the blonde, who wanted to hear everything about dinner.

"Kyle had a brilliant suggestion about how to serve the food better! If we do it like that, everyone should have a bit of everything!" nodded the heir who would’ve known about this style had he been eating normally back in Tesseris.

But as someone who rushed to his space the moment no one was looking, it wasn’t something he had the luxury of being familiar with. Also, it wasn’t like he had money to pay for food.

So this idea sounded novel to Luca, one brought about by alleged concern for the adjutant’s own food and totally not because of a particularly slow mechanic.

"Why? Was there something wrong with how food was served before?" asked the curious mother, turning towards Jax.

The redhead sighed before explaining the complexity and art involved with fighting for food and even saying that it’s better to grab the bigger pieces because they’re taken in bulk.

And anything that you can skewer was a sure bet, while anything that looked soft would be a no-go.

"Speed is very important, My Lady. If you blink, it might just be gone."

Jax was all serious when explaining because it was really something else, but the mother was looking at her son and wondering if he was starving, because just how would this boy even compete with these men? Also, what about Luca? That one looks even more delicate?!

"Then did my son ever get anything to eat?" she finally asked in a whisper that was hopefully overpowered by her son’s squealing.

"A lot, My Lady. It’s okay, Kyle would usually switch their plates because the last time he tried getting his own, he was only able to get a piece of garnish."

It was a pitiful sight, and even Jax, for a moment, thought about giving him food until he saw Kyle switching out their plates.

"Mom, what’s wrong?" Ollie finally asked after noticing that the others had stopped. freēwebnovel.com

Okay? Thought Kyle, who didn’t know why he got a pat on the back, but got redirected when the marquise asked if they were going to that large dome over there.
