The small room was like a conference hall, with more and more people coming in.
By then, it wasn’t just the Towel guy and the people from the duchy that were inside with Luca. The ones who went with the school staff also returned to see the stand-off.
Thankfully, no one started to throw punches.
If anything, Luca’s concern would probably be in-fighting between the Butler’s group. The new people realized something was up when they saw their fellow subordinates looking extra smug.
One such person was Steward Han, who lost against Butler Gary for the right to look for their Lord.
He could smell something fishy with how the guards looked extra motivated. And he vowed to find out about it later.
Meanwhile, with everyone standing inside and by the door of this small dorm room, it was actually the school staff who was most confused of the bunch.
They knew their guest wanted to meet the Lord of their family for something like his personal mecha. The mecha was essential for the course and survival, so they hesitantly allowed them to find him. And because it was so valuable, they could understand why they didn’t want to send it via courier.
If only they knew what else was coming from their school via drone couriers.
Normally, the school was closed to visitors unless it was the weekend.
But who asked them to be tempted by important resources? At times like this, they would be stupid to reject goodwill, especially from reputable people like the Duke of Kyros.
Moreover, the staff liked that they didn’t need to tell these people about boundaries. For example, when the afternoon bell sounded, the people from the duchy volunteered to leave by themselves.
There was no fuss, and everyone was cordial. In fact, they may have been a little too cordial. The regular dorm administrators couldn’t really match their hulking physiques to the docile people before them.
But that wasn’t a problem they should be focusing on.
What was more alarming was the pointed look they were getting from Xavier Montclair.
Which staff member didn’t know about the notorious number 1 of the Junior Academy?
If anything, he would have also ranked first on the last exam had the mission not been extended far longer than expected.
But anyone who’s been here a while would know that he was the legitimate title holder. As normal administrators, these people would be no match for this guy’s wrath.
They were just lucky that despite being a noble and the top student, Xavier was never one to throw around his weight to get what he wanted. He didn’t even take the custom mecha that was supposed to be a reward for his rank.
If there was anything notable about him, it was that he would use his influence to get himself and his small team into military missions as a mercenary.
When he first did that, most instructors were questioning his desire for an early death, but his skills soon convinced them of this kid’s intentions.
And then there was one other thing that he asked for: a solo dorm room and nothing else.
So, now that the heir to the Dukedom of Kyros was standing next to the ice-cold Xavier, the staff’s teeth couldn’t help but clatter in fear.
With the people from the duchy gone, the staff felt better about talking to Xavier about his new roommate.
"I see that you’ve got me a roommate during my absence?" Xavier asked, his voice modulated but carried a very chilling tone.
