The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL] novel Chapter 360

Chapter 360: That Person

He said it.

He actually did.

Surprisingly, the ground didn’t shake, and he didn’t die. Heck, even his brain offered no resistance.

What was surprising, though, was how the marquise reacted to that.

Kyle suddenly wasn’t sure if he was being told to go for it or to get lost because the whole time he thought he was being encouraged to think about how he wanted to proceed.

But now?

Ollie’s mother looked like she was ready to blow.

"Did-did Oliver toy with you?!" she asked, brows so furrowed that Kyle momentarily panicked.

"No, My Lady! It was nothing like that!"

"It’s an inside joke between us, if anything!" he added while trying to diffuse the situation.

Marquise Julienne narrowed her eyes at him, as if filleting him for the truth, for this would not have been the first time something similar would’ve happened in their family.

Not that any of the Mylors actually did something reprehensible, but because they attracted too many bees and weren’t particularly bright in seeing things when it was about them, so it became a common issue—practically an annual event with how many kids they’ve got.

Multiple parents have called their houses asking why their kids would go home with broken hearts after assuming that they were together with whichever Mylor kid they liked.

And for a long while, only her Oliver managed to escape this fate because he was a walking threat.

But to hear something like this happening, and with a child from THAT lineage?! Her heart almost stopped as she thought about having to explain to her role model about how her son probably didn’t even know they were in some sort of relationship!

It was a fear she never thought she’d ever have. For who would’ve known that of all people to attract anyone from that elusive family, it would be her confused baby?!

But at the same time, who else but this one would be able to pull off something like this without getting thrown to the mines?

Ollie, it could only be Oliver.

Sigh.

Will this be alright, though? But did she even have the right to ask when she practically awakened this?

’...’

Though, to be fair, she didn’t think it had progressed to this extent! And she was really just concerned because she knew about that dependence and how both of them would have a problem if they let this stew over without any clear goals.

An ex for heaven’s sake?!

"Kyle, normally, I would’ve said no returns and no exchanges. But..." She took a deep breath, her expression serious as she left this significant bit with him.

"But if one day you tire of him, or it doesn’t work out. Please return him to us—in one piece. We won’t even ask questions."

The adjutant didn’t know what to say because they hadn’t even gotten to the starting line from the bleachers, and that mop was still envisioning cute girls and a picket fence.

One that the girl would likely have to build for them.

But he agreed because the marquise felt like a looming giant because of how she stared at him, even when she was way shorter.

It took a beat, but then the noble mother nodded before turning towards the four people who looked like they were in different levels of suspension of disbelief.

Marquis Osmond was not sure why he kept on catching strays. And couldn’t help but wonder about all those situations and people.

Jax, on the other hand, was more convinced that his growing family was the perfect one for him, as no such horrors, save for pilfering beasts and humans, would likely pop up for him.

Meanwhile, Luca suddenly felt he needed to see Xavier to ask about all this. After all, the prince told him to ask when he felt uncertain.

But it seemed like Ollie’s mother had an answer about the problem.

"Now, Oliver. It seems like you understand it enough. And there is really no need to scare Luca like that, especially when it shouldn’t be his problem."

"Eh?"

"How could it not be a problem, Mom?! There are flies everywhere! And some flies even want to marry my good brother!" He pointed towards Luca as he mentally took stock of all those people who liked either Xavier, his brother, or both!

Oh.

"When Kyle finds his eventual partner, you’d be ’that person’ you keep warning everyone about."

Also, Ollie was sure he wouldn’t be the type to cheat. So, how could he be that person?

Sweetheart.
