563.Chapter 563
Louisa retorted, “I haven’t seen the Holy Lady in person, but I’ve seen her portrait. For someone they call the ‘most beautiful woman in Hasen City, it’s all just empty praise.”
Louisa spoke with disdain, but as she turned her head, she noticed Rafe’s strange expression.
Louisa glared at him, “What’s with that look? Do you want to die? You don’t believe me? Wait until I get out of here–I’ll drag you back and turn you into fertilizer.”
Rafe scoffed, “You call the Holy Lady plain? I don’t believe a word of it. I think either the portrait artist is awful, or the woman in the portrait isn’t even the Holy Lady.”
“What do you mean by that?” Louisa’s eyes narrowed, her tone dangerous. “You’ve seen the Holy Lady?”
Rafe said, “I’ve been here long enough, you think I haven’t seen her?”
Louisa paused, then squinted at him, her voice laced with threat, “So, you think she’s more beautiful than me?”
It was a life–or–death question.
But Rafe wasn’t intimidated.
He replied, “She’s got the looks of a legendary beauty. She’s graceful and elegant, with an inner beauty that matches her outer one.”
Rafe nodded dramatically, “In short, she’s miles more beautiful than you.”
The cage shook violently.
Louisa’s expression darkened to the point that it seemed as though her very soul could darken the air.
Her eyes were like poisoned daggers, glaring at Rafe as she hissed, “You’re asking for death.”
Louisa despised anyone who called her not beautiful, or who implied she wasn’t beautiful enough. After all, in this world, she was the most beautiful woman, and no one could compare to her.
If anyone thought otherwise, she’d make them pay with their lives.
They’d all be turned into fertilizer for her to grow more beautiful.
“If you don’t believe me, go see for yourself. But if you plan on making a move on her, you better be careful. After all, the Holy Lady isn’t like those people you killed before, easily disposed of,” Rafe said with a smirk.
If Eliza were killed, the entire Malone family would suffer the consequences.
Rafe shrugged nonchalantly, as if he hadn’t just provoked Louisa.
Louisa sneered, “What about the Holy Lady? She’s just a little trouble.”
If Eliza were truly more beautiful than her, Louisa would skin her alive.
And once she had made her a lifeless, skinless corpse, Louisa would see just how beautiful Eliza could still be.
Malice grew unchecked in Louisa’s heart.
Satisfied with Rafe’s reaction, he smiled smugly.
The Malone family had no cowards, and he, too, wouldn’t be intimidated by Louisa.
Those who offended Louisa would be made into fertilizer.
And those who offended him would meet a similarly gruesome end, just like Felix.
Look at Felix now, in his own twisted control–he had turned him into this.
Rafe raised his hand, touching the head inside the jar.
