Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 1077

Eli was Gideon's son? Since when did he have a son? He had no clue! He wondered what Amelia was doing. Why did she give birth to his son and didn't tell him about it? If it weren't for this incident, he would never have known that he had a son.

Gideon looked at the paternity test and couldn't return to his senses. It went against his principle of not getting married for 37 years. He didn't want to get married because he didn't want to be chained by marriage. He didn't want a marriage like his parents either.

He felt that Lilith was too weak. At times, she couldn't even protect her own children. She succumbed to the power of James and Mildred.

Gideon didn't like such an unequal marriage and family. He didn't want his child to suffer from unfair treatment like Hera back then when he had a family of his own.

Even though he knew that such incidents could be avoided, he had the blood inherited by James. Genetics was a terrifying thing. Although he tried not to be like James, he would subconsciously act similarly to James at times.

So, to avoid such matters from happening, Gideon didn't want to get married. He got rid of all possibilities. Besides, not getting married could reduce unnecessary worries.

He didn't need to worry about his children and could focus on his career. He didn't expect everything to be suddenly shattered by this paternity test.

"Are you alright? Do you have any questions about the report?" The nurse noticed that Gideon looked odd.

Gideon returned to his senses and smiled. "I'm fine."

Then, he turned around and headed to Eli's ward. In the blink of an eye, his smile disappeared, and his expression became stern.

In the ward, Eli was lying on the hospital bed with an oxygen mask. He hadn't woken up. Amelia was sitting next to the bed, staring at him. Her gaze was full of concern.

Gideon knocked on the door, and Amelia quickly wiped away her tears. She took a deep breath before turning around. Seeing that it was Gideon, she was surprised. "Haven't you gone back?"
