When Love Breaks (Josephine) novel Chapter 214

Josephine stopped in her tracks.

Ethan's heart skipped a beat. Was she going to listen to him and walk over?

"Gloria, please take care of Mr. Forbes. Once he has rested, please ask George to send him to the hospital."

Gloria quickly replied, "Understood, Ms. Dunn."

Zayn sprung up immediately. "Josephine, you did this to my arm. Now, you're going to walk away without taking responsibility? Do you even have a conscience?"

He flashed his arm, putting it in front of his body to make sure she could see it.

"If I end up with a broken arm or some sort of permanent damage because of this fall, I swear I'll haunt you for the rest of my life."

The moment Josephine saw his injured arm, her attitude softened.

In a calmer tone, she replied, "I'm not a nurse. I can't check on you 24/7. If you aren't feeling well, you can go to the hospital.

"Besides, I have important things to do now."

"I heard what he said to you. It's just an audition, right? What's wrong? Do you have to look for a job after the divorce?

"Now that you're in such a pathetic situation, why are you still acting like that? Don't you think it's much better if you came back to me and became Mrs. Forbes?"

He actually thought she was being interviewed for a job.

Josephine scoffed. "Why don't you return the money I've lent you first? Then, we'll talk."

After saying that, she shot a glance at Ethan. "Ignore him. Let's go."

Seeing both of them go up the stairs, Zayn could only slump back into the chair.

He wasn't jealous of Ethan. That was because he knew Josephine too well, that she loved him deeply. The reason for the divorce was that she was jealous of Nadine.

It was impossible for her to erase him from her heart in just a few years.

Let alone fall for someone else!

Zayn just thought Ethan was an eyesore.

To him, Ethan was just a pretty boy and a nobody actor. How dare he steal Josephine away from him?
