Ethan looked up and saw a tall, dark figure standing outside the car window.
It was Zayn.
He was holding something in his hand—perhaps a rock or a massive iron weight—and had already smashed the driver's side window.
His expression was twisted with rage as he raised the heavy object high and slammed it down again.
Josephine was so shocked that she instinctively pulled Ethan closer to her. "Be careful!"
"It's fine. Stay in the car." Ethan reassured her with a pat on the head before suddenly pushing the car door open. The car door knocked into Zayn, making him stumble back. Then, Ethan slowly stepped out of the car and looked at Zayn with a cold stare.
Zayn had a murderous gaze. The veins on his hands were bulging as he gripped the iron lock tightly. "You dare touch my woman? Do you have a death wish?"
Ethan scoffed. "If you've lost your memory, I don't mind reminding you. You and Josephine are already divorced. She's mine now."
Ethan didn't take Zayn seriously at all. He glanced at the shattered car window and added, "If you pay for my car window and apologize to me and my girlfriend, I won't blame you for interrupting our kiss. But if you don't, I'll have no choice but to call the police and press charges for assault."
The words "girlfriend" and "kiss" were the last straw for Zayn. His grip on the iron lock tightened. He wanted nothing more than to smash it straight into Ethan's head.
Just then, George and several gardeners rushed over, standing around Ethan protectively as they glared at Zayn.
One more move, and they wouldn't hesitate to take him down. This time was different from the past. If that iron lock struck someone, it could kill.
