A Whisper that went unheard novel Chapter 77

Looking at Melody, Harold suggested, "I'm going to study the security footage after work. Do you want to join me?"

She hummed in response. Of course, she would do it with him. She had to find out the truth.

"Count me in." Tiffany chimed in. "I'll give you guys a hand with it. Let's find out who the hell was this deplorable."

As the elevator went to higher floors, they happened to bump into Simon, who was treating Melody's hearing condition.

He asked the moment he saw her, "Ms. Wardolf, have you reached a decision on what we talked about previously? Your hearing condition was evident the last time I checked on you. It'd be wise not to put it off anymore."

Melody responded solemnly, "I've thought about it long and hard, but I won't have the surgery recently. It'll probably have to wait."

She had yet to save up 600,000 dollars. So, she couldn't have done it even if she wanted to, but she wasn't about to tell anyone about it either.

Andrew cared about his image a lot. So, he had treated Melody particularly well in front of the outsiders. It simply wouldn't do if she couldn't even fork over 600,000 dollars. It didn't matter if the others bought it because he would still pick a bone with her over it.

Simon felt a lot better when he heard that she had reached a decision. He nodded, expressing, "In any case, it's better to have surgery while you're young. After all, you can take advantage of your body's strong self-healing properties.

"I'm glad that you have made up your mind. I was worried that you wouldn't do it."

Melody pursed her lips. "Why would I make such a decision?"

It was virtually impossible for her to turn down the surgery. She wanted to live an ordinary life more than anything.

Tiffany asked, "Mel, what surgery is Dr. Jangger talking about?"

"It's a cochlear implant. He wanted me to do it as soon as possible."
