A man with all the distinct features of the Dimensari walked down a darkened corridor within the towering halls of Velarius Castle.
His steps were heavy, and his face filled with nothing but seething anger.
Even the air felt it, the air around him appearing distorted, as if his very rage was bleeding into the world itself.
Eletantron moved swiftly, his pace increasing with every step, like he couldn't wait to get to his destination.
Despite the storm that had ensued just moments ago, his mind was oddly still. However, it was not because there was nothing to think about… but because he had already reached a conclusion.
A single, unwavering conclusion that burned within him.
He would have his revenge.
The hallway was empty. Silent. No guards, no echoes, not even a flicker of torchlight, only the faint glint of white dots glowing within his obsidian eyes, gleaming through the pitch-dark void.
At the end of the corridor, he came to an imposing black door, engraved with ancient-looking runes.
Without hesitation, Eletantron slit his arm open with a flick of his fingers, letting the blood drip onto the surface of the door. Then he pressed his hand against it, channeling mana into the wound.
The door shimmered, then rippled like water.
And he passed through.
Within, he entered a chamber that was vast and hollow. And at the center hovered a collection of orbs, gliding in slow, circular motion.
Eletantron's eyes locked onto them.
Then, he stepped forward, silent and determined, his resolve solidifying in his heart.
'I don't care anymore.'
He had lost his last descendant. The last hope of his bloodline. His future had been shattered, irreparably. Even if he fucked all the women in the Dimensari domain, his chances of birthing another were as impossible as butter breaking diamonds.
The pain had hollowed him out.
And the one who had caused everything…
'Atticus Ravenstein.'
The name alone made his hands clench into fists.
'To destroy him and his entire race… I need power. More than I've ever had. More than any Dimensari has ever had.'
His gaze narrowed as he reached forward toward the cores.
Initially, Eletantron had only learned about the cores because a particular man had told him about the history of Eldoralth. Said man had tasked him with collecting the cores, and Eletantron was supposed to deliver them to him, but…
'I'll absorb them… all of them.'
He needed more power than ever if he hoped to get his revenge.
But just as his fingers were about to touch the first orb, a voice echoed from behind him,
Smooth. Calm. Yet carrying a weight that froze the air.
"Sentient beings really are interesting."
Eletantron's body went still.
'Who?'
This was his personal dimension. One that he could claim had even more defense than the alliance military camp. To think someone had infiltrated without him even knowing was a thought that chilled him to the bone.
His heartbeat skipped.
He slowly turned around, and his heart pounded violently.
Standing there… was a man with hair of crimson and blue, a striking contrast that felt unnervingly natural on him.
A faint smile was on his lips, gentle, almost serene, but the air in the room was anything but.
