"W-WHat kind of demon is it? Why does it look so terrifying? Can't it change back to its original form?"
Eddie had heard that demons could freely transform and assumed the creature must've taken on a scary appearance on purpose to frighten people.
Many of the other cast and crew members shared the same thought.
Shannon remained silent briefly before calmly stating, "This is its original form."
She casually pulled out her phone and showed a picture to the crowd. "This is a white-faced saki, and you can find them in zoos."
As soon as she said so, Adeela clapped her forehead in realization. "I remember now! I once saw a collection post of weird animals online, and this money was in it."
She paused and continued somewhat hesitantly, "But from what I read, these monkeys are supposed to be really small."
Their typical body length was about the size of a cat, but they weighed less than half as much. The monkey in front of them was as big as a ten-year-old child.
If this was what the villagers had seen, it was no wonder it'd been described as a monstrous creature. The livestream audience recognized the monkey and were equally amazed.
Upon learning that its larger size was due to transformation after becoming a demon, many found it oddly reasonable.
Shannon had researched the white-faced saki species on the way here and knew some zoos used it as an attraction. It wasn't surprising for poachers to covet such a large specimen.
Olivia seemed relieved to learn it wasn't a monster and relaxed visibly. She eagerly moved closer to Shannon and asked, "But why was it hiding here in the forest?"
Shannon was about to explain that the monkey had been kidnapped from Jamborough when she felt a tug in the mystic chain she held onto.
She turned to see the monkey demon gazing at her with wide eyes and tugging the mystic chain again as if to signal something.
