Suzanne paused. The next second, she lifted her ring unabashedly for Cheryl to see. With a twinkle in her eyes, she asked, "What do you think? I got it from playing a game at a restaurant previously."
As the image of her and Austin playing the game together came to mind, Suzanne couldn't help but smile.
Cheryl had thought that Suzanne had started seeing someone. As it turned out, Suzanne had actually gotten the ring from playing a game at a restaurant.
That curiosity of hers was snuffed out the moment it was piqued.
Studying Suzanne's ring, Cheryl nodded and said, "It's gorgeous."
The only thing was that it was a little pricey for her.
Cheryl picked up her drink from the table and sipped on it slowly.
Suzanne pulled her hand back. Resting her elbows on the table, she looked at Cheryl with a serious gaze and said, "It was from a game I played with my husband."
Cheryl choked. She started coughing so violently that she teared up.
Suzanne hurried over to her and patted her gently on the back. In a warm voice, she soothed, "You didn't have to be so shocked, did you? You've got to take care of your voice."
Cheryl was now someone in the entertainment industry. Even though she wasn't a singer, her work would still be affected if anything happened to her voice.
After Cheryl finally got over her coughing fit, she lifted her reddened face to look at Suzanne. Doubtfully, she probed, "Are you being serious? You're not kidding me, are you?"
How was it that Suzanne was married? She hadn't even heard any news about it before. Suzanne hid her marriage really well.
Propping her head up with her hand, Suzanne gazed at Cheryl. She looked like she wasn't kidding at all.
Cheryl had no choice but to accept it was a fact. Though, this came like a bolt from the blue. Suddenly, she felt curious. "Suzanne, who's your husband?"
Suzanne was such a remarkable woman. Her husband was probably also a really outstanding individual.
