Simon asked, "What? How?"
Elena grumbled, "Whatever! Forget it. My friends were telling me about this popular bar where the male escorts are seriously hot."
Furrowing his brows, he asked, "You're not thinking about checking it out, do you?"
"I actually am," came her reply.
Simon compromised. "Fine! I'll open a can of beer with my abs."
Elena cheered, "Hell yes!"
When she smiled, her eyes crinkled, dimples sweetening her delicate features. "Honestly, I always believed in you."
Simon decided not to hold back and follow his heart.

Leonardo came to the basement parking lot of the Garrett Group a little late and ran into Kevin at the elevator.
He walked past Kevin with a quick nod. However, before he could walk away, Kevin called out, "Leo."
Leonardo walked at his own pace without showing any signs of stopping. "What's up?"
Kevin wanted to talk to Leonardo, so he had no choice but to go after the man himself. Every step felt like a surrender, and he hated it. He inquired, "You've never cared about Garrett Group's business. What made you show up for the meeting today?"
Leonardo replied, "I'd say it's the collaboration between Evergreen Corporation and Redwood Mall."
"None of that was part of today's meeting agenda," Kevin retorted. "We only discussed expanding Redwood Mall into Mariton."
Opening the car door, Leonardo got in. Then, leaving the door open, he sat in the car, staring at Kevin outside. "What's your point? I'm Garrett Group's marketing consultant. Am I getting grilled for attending a meeting?"
He raised an eyebrow. His icy gaze demanded answers, but his voice stayed calm and composed.
