Mr. President You Are The Daddy Of My Triplets novel Chapter 213

Chapter 213: 213- His T-shirt

"Can you please tuck the kids tonight? I need to stay at Sophie’s place," Marissa hesitated for a moment and then sent the message to Rafael after typing it.

Both the girls were wearing night suits. Sophie in her Amore silk, pajama shorts, and Marissa in her oversized t-shirt.

"What is he saying?" Sophie asked her while switching the channels. She was looking for a light rom-com movie.

"He hasn’t replied yet," Marissa placed the phone on the mattress, "he is so natural with the kids. So easygoing,"

She started gathering her hair to make a messy bun when her phone buzzed, and Rafael’s name flashed on the screen.

"Of course. Don’t worry. Enjoy your night, little Greene."

Relieved, Marissa smiled and placed the phone down, but her mind wandered back to the kids. It was rare that she didn’t meet them after her office hours.

"Wipe that mom guilt off your face, Mar!" Sophie remarked without even looking at her. She knew her friend better.

Marissa picked up her phone again and typed another message, "Can I Face-time with them before bed?"

This time Rafael took a little longer to respond, "You and your requests. What are you willing to do for me, in return?" he had also put an eye roll emoji.

She smiled at his playfulness.

Didn’t I already make him happy last night?

She thought for a moment but obviously, she couldn’t type it.

"What do you want, mister?"

His response was instant, making her heart skip a beat, "Well! I’ll tell you later." Followed by a wink emoji this time.

She could almost imagine that cocky smirk on his face. Before she could think about it another message popped up, "By the way.... I miss you, little Greene."

Marissa gulped her saliva and stared at the text. A tender smile touched her lips. She was almost, lost in the message when Sophie nudged her playfully.

"What’s making you smile like that? Are you telling me, or should I grab your phone and read those private chats?"

"Shut up!" Marissa switched off her phone before placing it on the nightstand.

"Shut up? Don’t forget I’m your best friend. Now don’t shut me up and tell me!" She held Marissa’s shoulders and started shaking her.

Marissa giggled pushing Sophia away, "Get lost. It’s private. I never asked you what’s going on between Joseph and you."

As expected, Sophie left her and sat back on the bed, "We are meeting tomorrow," She informed her friend shyly.

"Oh. I didn’t know, Dr. Sophia could blush. That too for a dinner invitation." This time it was Marissa’s turn to tease her.

"Who said it was a dinner invitation?" Sophia shrugged and rolled her eyes towards the ceiling.

"What do you mean, girl?"

"Guess. Guess. Guess!" Sophia almost sang the words. When she saw Marissa still staring at her curiously, she face palmed, "We are planning to spend some... quality time AFTER dinner... you know..."

"Ooh la la," Marissa started fanning her hand near her face, "It’s getting hot in here."

Marissa thanked God, silently, for the shift of the topic from Rafael’s messages to Joseph.

Sophie was about to tell her more when the doorbell rang.
