"What did that crazy woman want from you?" Nina asked her while sipping her red wine. Valerie was just in time when their order arrived.
Valerie raised her nose and took a long sniff, "Oh. It smells divine!" she quickly grabbed a napkin before picking up the fork.
She transferred some fish pieces onto her plate and started pouring the sauce over it. However, when she looked up, she found Nina staring at her instead of eating her food, "What?"
She quickly pushed the fork into her mouth and closed her eyes, "This tastes so good. Just like I imagined."
Nina was still sitting there, with her fist under her chin, "Valerie!" she moved her tongue in her mouth before she began speaking, "Why do I feel that there is something fishy going on?"
Valerie wasn’t expecting this bluntness from Nina. Her smile faltered but just for a moment, "N-no! You must be imagining it!" she waved her hand and sipped some iced water.
Gosh! What did I say? She is a born bitch.
"Then why is she here for you? Are you two dating each other? You two having an affair?"
Valerie was horrified by the allegation, "Come on, Nina. You know, I’m straight."
"Then?" Nina still hadn’t started eating.
Giving up with a sigh, Valerie wiped her mouth and tossed the napkin, "She has been telling everyone that she is a widow. But her husband is very much alive. He got involved in some other girl from his office and cheated on her back. To take her revenge, she ran away with her son. He must be looking for them," Valerie explained and then again picked up her fork to wave it in the air, "Now for God’s sake. Start eating, Nina. Let me tell you that this is delish. Try it if you want!"
Seeing Nina, turning her focus to her plate, Valerie took a sigh of relief. But she had to be very cautious around Nina. She didn’t want to give her the impression that she felt at ease after the topic was dropped.
So, she continued, "She thinks I must be going through the same pain..." She flicked her eyes upward in annoyance, "That’s why she wants to be there to console me. Initially, I liked how she used to be there, always encouraging me but now..."
She leaned back and eyed Nina who was now looking at her, "She is being a pain in the ass," She shook her head and resumed eating.
There was silence for a few minutes when Valerie spoke again, "What about your plan to buy White Palace? Is the owner ready to sell it to you?"
Nina shook her head and motioned for the waiter to pour some more wine into her glass.
"No. He’s asking me to wait a little. The asshole is married and still decided to sleep with me," Now why did she share such a tidbit with Valerie? She needed to be more mindful of what to say in front of her. Anything could be used against her.
***
Kids were watching ’Frozen’ in the home theater while Marissa was busy thinking about what Dean told her in the hospital.
On their way back, she didn’t let Rafael see her distress, but he wasn’t a fool.
"What my wife is worried about?" he drew her closer to him in the backseat.
Sitting beside him, she had just smiled, "Denzel is a very good man. I don’t know who did this to him," this was the only excuse she could come up with for her disturbed state.
He had kissed her head before letting her go.
And now sitting in the theater, her mind was constantly on Delinda. Why would she make such a cruel attempt on anyone’s life?
"Still thinking about Denzel?" she didn’t know when Rafael sat quietly beside her and kissed her temple. fгeewebnovёl.com

I was into the story but then the translator who was translating it for whatever language to English stopped translating half the words are half English and another language it's very hard to follow a book when you can't understand what the written word is translators need to do better...
