For the first time, Geena felt like Rafael Sinclair was nervous—more than her.
His green eyes which he took from Miles Sinclair were darting around taking in the décor of the room.
"These mini statues..." Rafael pointed to the small miniatures placed behind the glass of the showcase.
"They belong to the owner of this apartment," she explained to him with an uncertain smile, "Ethan’s friend owns this place..." She placed her hands in her pants pocket, "he needed a caretaker, and I needed a place to live near the campus."
There was again heavy silence hanging in the room.
Geena felt Rafael was avoiding eye contact, "Do you want coffee?" she asked him, picking up the tray a little clumsily.
Rafael hummed but kept looking around. Geena understood his situation. He led his whole life alone under the shadow of Nina Sinclair.
He never knew that he had a sibling and now when he was aware, he didn’t know how to handle that. Geena decided to take the lead.
"Sit down, Mr. Sinclair. I’ll bring you some coffee," before she could walk past him, her wrist was grabbed suddenly by the man.
"When did you come to know that... that..." he didn’t know how to finish it.
"That you’re my brother?" the smile vanished from her lips, "The nuns at the orphanage told me about my family without mentioning names."
"When did they mention it then?"
"The day I turned eighteen and was about to leave the place. They told me everything," he was now standing near the window looking out.
Geena inhaled a tired breath and at last, decided to sit on the edge of the bed, "I approached Nina because I wanted to take revenge. I kept looking for some proof so that I could ask the authorities to reopen the case."
"Any luck?" the voice asked her without turning to her.
Geena chuckled and shook her head, "I even stayed overnight at her place. But she proved to be more cunning than my expectations."
She kept fidgeting her fingers not knowing why he was here.
"Why are you here?" she was horrified when the question escaped her lips. His back seemed to go rigid.
"What do you think? Why am I here?" Geena didn’t answer that and stayed quiet.
The situation had turned awkward for her. She even didn’t know about his likes and dislikes.
Then there was a slight sound...
A sniffling sound!
Geena froze, her heart thudding in her chest.
Was he crying?
She glanced towards the window where Rafael stood, his back still turned to her. His broad shoulders were rigid, and his head was slightly bowed.
Slowly she got up and took a hesitant step forward.
"Rafael?" her voice was soft but nervous. Oh crap! Why am I calling him that?
"I’m sorry," his voice was thick with emotions, "I ... I didn’t mean to..." He stopped, exhaling sharply as if trying to regain control over his life. frёeωebɳovel.com

I was into the story but then the translator who was translating it for whatever language to English stopped translating half the words are half English and another language it's very hard to follow a book when you can't understand what the written word is translators need to do better...
