In her excitement, the girl didn’t even notice his presence and walked past him while his gaze followed her till she got into a bus.
He came out of the trance and realized his blunder. He should have asked her name. Or at least about her whereabouts.
He didn’t even know where she lived and where she worked. If she was his office employee, she wouldn’t have left the office.
"F*ck! Why do I even care?" Muttering under his breath he went to his office and was still too engrossed thinking something when Paige Fletcher placed his coffee mug on the desk.
"Ms. Fletcher," she paused near the door and tilted her body a little. Boss never liked talking before finishing his coffee. It was a routine.
Usually, one needed to discuss the appointments and meetings with Mr. Donovan after that coffee cup. Not before that.
"Send the security in charge to my office," he told her without glancing at her.
"Now?" she asked him in confusion, and he nodded after opening his laptop.
Strange. The boss doesn’t like anyone’s face or voice before that coffee cup, "Sure, sir. I will."
As soon as Paige left the office, George made a call to the HR manager, "Do we have any hiring interviews scheduled?"
The HR manager paused and then informed him that today was no interview however Mrs. Eileen was hiring the lower staff. As they were still short of it.
He sighed and picked up a pen to jot down something in his diary. But his brain kept wandering to that girl who was trying to fly in the sky.
George Donovan was used to beautiful girls around him, but that girl had something special in her. He wanted to know more about her.

"Here are the files, Sir," Mrs. Eileen handed over the stack of files to Ms. Paige who rounded the desk and placed them in front of George.
"Not all of them have pictures here," he remarked while searching through the applications of the appointed candidates.
"Yes, Sir. They will provide their pictures within one week of joining," she told him with a smile, still not sure why she was called here.
"Hmm. Ok. Go,"
Mrs. Eileen hurriedly got up from her seat. When Paige had told her that the boss wanted to see her, she panicked, thinking someone had filed a complaint against her but thank God it turned out to be nothing.

Aniya had the rest of the day to herself, so she spent it discovering Sangua. The good thing was she was enjoying herself.
The bad thing was... Lisa wasn’t responding to her calls. Nor was Liam.
And that was worrying Aniya.
Her friends had promised her that they would stay in contact through texts and calls.
She sent a text to them, telling them that she had gotten the job and accommodation.
For dinner, she went to a café and tried their special sandwich along with a large cup of cappuccino. After all, she had to celebrate her success too.

"Here is your uniform," Mrs. Eileen gave her two packs, "You need to stay tidy all the time. Being a maid doesn’t mean that you won’t be careful about your grooming."
"Sure, ma’am,"
Wait a minute. Who is the boss here?
