Aniya smiled while being nestled against his chest. She felt she might melt into him. He was her safe haven. With him, she felt protected.
In his arms, she felt untouchable.
"How about..." she chewed the corner of her lower lip, "How about you sit next to me and steal glances like a lovesick puppy? That way you can hold me close, and you can admire my face at the same time. Win-win. Right?"
George didn’t know how to react to this funny side of her. His eyes crinkled in amusement as he couldn’t help himself, he buried his face in the crook of her neck, his shoulders shaking with laughter.
"Anaya Jakes," his breath fanned over her skin sending a delicious tremor through her, "You’re impossible."
Aniya’s fingers unconsciously ran through his hair as if... as if he belonged to her.
At this realization, goosebumps rose on her skin. But then she needed to get away from him or divert his attention otherwise she could end up being his w*hore.
"So," she mused tapping his shoulder, "should I still call you lovesick or would you prefer Royal Clinginess?"
He lifted his head and looked at her with a playful smile, "You’re enjoying this too much, little dove."
She grinned, "Can I at least have a sip of water or are you planning to treat me with this hug on this rooftop."
He suddenly felt guilty and pulled away, "I never acted this crazy, gosh!" he grumbled softly and made her sit on the chair. free𝑤ebnovel.com
Aniya didn’t know a date could be this good. She had never been on a date. This was her first time.
George had started telling her about his university days, but all Aniya could do was look at his face and admire his features.

The car rolled to a stop, a block away from the hostel, but neither of them made the move to end the night.
"I had a great time tonight," he said turning to her, "I enjoy your company so much,"
She tried to smile, fighting her inner child who desired to stay with him. She didn’t want to leave the car, but she had to.
She needed time to think and look at this relationship again. She couldn’t afford a heartbreak.
"I enjoyed it too," she said, reaching for the door handle with a hesitant smile.
George was still looking into her eyes when he made the unexpected offer, "Come up to my penthouse for the night."
Her heart skipped a beat at the invitation. It was dangerously tempting but no.
Remember, Aniya! You need time.
"Umm. I think... I should go... umm..." she tried to control her quivering lips, wishing he was not that attractive.
He studied her for a moment and then finally nodded, "It’s OK. Take your time."
Just as she was about to open the door, he surprised her. Leaning ahead, his lips brushed against hers in a slow and gentle kiss. She felt her breath hitched as she melted into that kiss.
Before her mind could register it, he pulled away and without hesitation, reached for his phone, "Come here, Hilton," he told someone authoritatively, leaving no room for any argument. Aniya frowned. Who was he talking to?
Suddenly a man emerged from the shadows a few feet away. Aniya watched the man in confusion.
George turned to her with an unreadable expression, "I know you don’t want to be seen with me," he said quietly, "But can’t risk sending my girl alone like that," he said with a slight shrug.
But I don’t want to get used to you, George. She told him in her heart.
Am I in love? She asked herself.
Once I tell him, he’ll make fun of me. The girl who didn’t want to be seen with him, how will she be able to carry on this relationship?

I was into the story but then the translator who was translating it for whatever language to English stopped translating half the words are half English and another language it's very hard to follow a book when you can't understand what the written word is translators need to do better...
