George finally let go of her hand when they reached his office.
"Ariel will be here soon," he explained and pulled a seat for her in his office. Abigail was dreading facing Paige but relaxed a bit when a new face welcomed her with a smile.
"Where is Paige?" She asked him when he leaned his hip against the desk and picked up the intercom.
"I almost fired her," he flashed a smile her way, "Don’t worry. She can live in the hostel until she finds a new job."
Abigail was observing him when he tucked the receiver in the crook of the neck and asked someone to bring coffee.
"You look beautiful," he at last turned his attention to her face and smiled warmly, "But who am I kidding? Right? Your boyfriend... the one who just returned into your life must have already told you that."
Abigail narrowed her eyes and stared at him boldly, "Not only him but dozens of others who aren’t even my boyfriends, have told me the same thing," she told him sweetly fluttering her lashes, "Just like you did."
For a moment, shock was registered on his face but then he threw back his head and laughed loudly. Not able to take it anymore, he leaned down to hold her face, resting his forehead against hers.
"I missed you, Anaya," She stayed silent for a moment and then sighed.
"I missed you too, George," she told him softly.
"Do you miss me in bed?"
Abigail’s eyes went wide, she pushed the chair back and tried to stand but his hands were immediately on her shoulders.
"Sit down!" She ignored his amused tone__ she wanted to punch him in the face.
"Let me go!" she hissed trying to push him away.
"How can I?" his voice had turned serious, "I can’t even breathe without you then how can I let you go?
Abigail raised her eyes and felt her breath caught in her throat. That amusement was gone from his face and now it was replaced by something raw.
"George__" she started, but he didn’t let her finish. Instead, he kissed her cheek softly.
"Don’t push me away," he murmured, kissing her other cheek, his one hand moving from his shoulders to her neck, "What do you expect me to do? Walk away just like that?"
She swallowed hard, her heart pounding, "George..." her eyes darted to the door, "Please..."
He kissed her forehead gently.
"You don’t get it. Do you?" he asked her softly, removing the stray hair strand from her forehead and twirling it around his finger, "I’m nothing without you, little dove."
He pressed his forehead against hers, "Stop pretending, sweetheart. What is holding you back? Tell me. All you have to do is tell me, Abigail Sinclair and I will offer the world to you. I would go to the moon and back for you."
He shook his head with a chuckle but there was no humor in it, "Keep pretending that you don’t care when I know you do, love."

I was into the story but then the translator who was translating it for whatever language to English stopped translating half the words are half English and another language it's very hard to follow a book when you can't understand what the written word is translators need to do better...
