Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 310

However, he found himself powerless against Nadine. Her indifference was infuriating, yet he couldn't express his frustration.

"Nadine, are you angry?" he asked. To him, Nadine's unwillingness to speak was a sign of anger.

In the past, Nadine would have argued with him fiercely. However, upon hearing his question, Nadine simply glanced at him briefly and continued to look away.

She nonchalantly replied, "Why would I be angry? No one is here to replace me if I get sick from being upset. There's nothing worth getting angry about anymore."

When Brad left quietly last night, it felt like a light within her had gone out, leaving only darkness. From that moment, she told herself it was over. Her relationship with Brad was finished.

If Nadine had expressed her frustration through tears or confrontation, Brad might have been able to manage the situation. However, her indifferent demeanor, as if he were inconsequential, only fueled his anger.

The fact that she had not offered him any emotional response or even a single glance since their encounter was profoundly frustrating.

Her complete indifference left him feeling intensely irritated and without any outlet for his frustration. Consequently, his demeanor grew darker.

"Are you angry about what happened last night? I can explain!" he insisted.

Although Nadine appeared calm, Brad could sense her suppressed anger was tied to his leaving.

Nadine barely raised her eyes and shot him a composed glance before responding quietly, "There's no need for an explanation."

She turned and walked away quickly, as if desperate to escape. Within moments, she vanished from Brad's sight.
