Yet, there was one thing Tyler was certain about—Nadine was really over Brad. This time, Tyler had to help her.
Seeing Nadine run off into the distance, Brad frowned as rage flared within him. His face twitched while he tried to suppress his anger.
His nails sunk into the flesh of his other hand, leaving uneven marks as he vented his fury. He breathed heavily, each exhale coming out in ragged hisses. Nadine was getting out of hand day by day!
His gaze was filled with fury as he sneered icily. "Nadine Scott, just you wait!"
…
At 4.30 p.m., Nadine appeared at the entrance of Sean's kindergarten. She saw her precious son from afar and waved to him affectionately.
Sean was calm. He simply nodded to her and stayed in the queue with other students. He didn't make a fuss and acted like a young adult. He carried his backpack and approached Nadine only when his teacher dismissed them.
The weather was cold, and the wind was chilly. Nadine was worried that Sean would get cold, so she took her scarf off and wrapped it around him.
Sean pushed her hand away and returned the scarf. "Mommy, I'm not cold. Not even a little bit. Feel my hand if you don't trust me."
His hand then grabbed Nadine's. She only stopped worrying when she felt that Sean's hands were warm. Tidying her scarf back up, she brought Sean to the roadside and wanted to hail a taxi.
Just then, a Rolls-Royce Ghost stopped in front of them. The driver's side door opened, and Brad's tall figure stepped out. He was wearing black leather shoes.
