At the back room of Hamilton Estate, Gigi was confined for a time-out. Even though people were keeping an eye on her, Evelyn still found ways to bring her plenty of good food and drinks.
This time, she brought a big bowl of creamy chicken soup. Evelyn watched as Gigi finished every last bite. She smiled and looked at Gigi's chest.
"Not bad, not bad," she said. "After all this time, it's finally working. You're looking fuller and perkier. I'm impressed."
She reached over, gave a gentle squeeze, and nodded. "Looks like Brad's punishment of making you reflect wasn't so bad after all."
Gigi, happy with her mother's praise, looked down at her now fuller chest and smiled. "It's all thanks to you, Mom. When I'm out of here, I'm going after him. This time, I'll see if he dares to say no!"
She had her eye on a handsome young man she met at the hospital. She didn't know his name yet, but she wasn't in a hurry. When they met again, she'd make sure he told her his name.
Seeing her daughter so infatuated, Evelyn poked Gigi's head with a laugh. "You! All you think about is men. What's so great about them? Wouldn't it be better to find a rich man and settle down?"
Evelyn watched her daughter, who had been entangled with men since she was 16, and wondered if all these experiences were a blessing or a curse.
Gigi rubbed where her mother had poked her, looking a bit worried. She leaned in, hugging Evelyn's arm and shaking it playfully.
"Mom, the Hamiltons are so rich. Brad gives me plenty of money. Do I really need to marry a rich man? At my age, I should be enjoying life and having fun. Why wait until I'm too old to enjoy myself?
