When Alex and Sammy noticed Brad's eyes glazed over, both of them were shocked. Alex snatched the wine glass from Brad's hand and asked with a frown, "How much have you been drinking?"

When Alex took his wine glass from him, Brad instinctively reached out to snatch it back, but he was too drunk, and he fell back onto the couch. Worried that Brad might hurt himself, Alex pinned him down on the couch and held his arms. "Brad, you're way too drunk. Please, stop drinking!"

He set down the wine glass and called the waiter in. "Bring me a cup of peppermint tea."

The waiter glanced at the handsome, but clearly out-of-it man on the couch and blurted out, "Mr. Jones, Mr. Johnson, do you think Mr. Hamilton's been dumped? As soon as he entered the private room, he ordered six bottles of vodka and started chugging them down. That's way too much! The both of you should talk to him."

The waiter recognized Brad. He was a big-time client, after all. He couldn't let Brad drink himself into a coma. If he overdosed on alcohol, it would be a huge loss for the business.

He couldn't afford to lose this wealthy client of his. Half his bonus depended on Brad, after all. When he noticed that Sammy and Alex had taken his words to heart, he turned around and left to prepare the peppermint tea without another word.

Sammy glanced at the empty vodka bottles scattered on the floor and shook his head. "Six bottles of vodka? That's some strong stuff. I wonder what's gotten into him."
