Moonbeam: "That stupid well is a base of dark faction? I have been roaming here for several hours and didn’t find a single thing odd about it. Is the quest even correct?"
Glorious Light: "Shuddap. Look, our queen Aurora is headed for the well. She knows everything. We just need to follow her."
Holy Butterfly: "Did you guys hear? That villain, Blood God, shot up in rankings because of a zone event exactly like this. No, our event is a lot better. This should definitely push our Golden Lotus guild to the top."
"Let’s go! Golden Lotus! Golden Lotus!"
All the players started chanting. Rallying these many players in three days should have been impossible, but the impossible becomes possible when a common villain emerges.
Aurora walked with a determined expression in front of the crowd. Her emerald eyes shone with confidence, and her golden hair sparkled in the sunlight. Even in the middle of the crowd, she clearly stood out, a strong aura spilling out of her.
Standing next to her was a tall and handsome paladin, his silver armor gleaming under the afternoon sun. His jaw was square, his eyes steel-gray, and his presence in the guild unmistakably strong. Bertram, the vice-guild leader of Golden Lotus.
His paladin matched Aurora’s priest, and the two of them seemed to be a match made in heaven.
Holy Girl: "Kyaaa! Bertram is so handsome! I wish he would reply to my messages already!"
Healer SSS: "Stop trying to steal my boyfriend!"
Light witch: "You both bitches need to back off of my husband!"
Holy Zero: "Shut up, you idiotic women and focus on the event!"
Light Witch: "You shut up! You are just jealous of my Bertram! You cannot even stand next to him without looking like a pig."
Since all the bigwigs of the guild were present today, the crowd was going completely wild. However, the main roster of the guild was indifferent to these types of chatter and had a completely different attitude.
The group of elite ten stood at the front along with Aurora and Bertram, and there was also another middle-aged man with them. The holy symbol of the Radiant Church glowed on his breastplate, pulsing with faint energy.
This was Ser Elias Dorne, the Paladin Vanguard, and one of the few named NPCs strong enough to lead a faction event this early in the game.
Ser Elias Dorne didn’t speak much, but his silent presence was like a mountain. He surveyed the chanting crowd without emotion, eyes fixed on the well ahead as if he could already see the darkness writhing beneath it.
