The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter novel Chapter 617

Chapter 617: WHY THE ALPHA SENT ME ALONE?!

"What?!" Nala widened her eyes. There must be something broken inside this merchant’s head to even give her such suggestion.

It was well known that Aliana served Iris and how bad things between her and that luna, there was no way she could get close to Aliana.

"Are you crazy? There is no way I can get close to Aliana! You know very well, how much that luna hates me, do you really think her servant will like me?" Nala was annoyed beyond words.

"In that case, can you get close to Iris then?" Lou didn’t seem to think what he was saying, he simply blurted it out. "It will be even better."

Nala was exasperated to hear that. She wanted to punch this man on the face now. Of course, she had done it countless time in her mind.

"What do you want!?" Nala was upset. There must be the reason why he wanted her to be close with Aliana. "Do you want to know about that luna’s movement?" Even now, Nala was still reluctant to call Iris by her name and whenever she said ’that luna’, her tone would be filled with mockery and disdain.

Nala didn’t love her father and his death didn’t really affect her emotionally, but it gave a grief impact in her life because she didn’t have anyone to back her up and her plan to get into Cane’s side was ruined because of Iris.

If she died during the attack from the royal, it would be great!

Somehow, it was so easy to hate Iris and direct all her negative feelings toward her. Hating someone was way easier than accepting that you were in the wrong.

"Yes!" Lou nodded excitedly. "Being close to me makes you smarter!"

Nala hated it whenever Lou was being overly proud of himself, but she liked his caring side too, since no one had ever shown her such thing and paid close attention to what she liked and disliked. A small thing he did for her, sometimes, made her heart fluttered.

"There is no way I can get close to Aliana," Nala said in a matter of fact tone. "But, I think I can get close to one of her warriors... what information do you want?"

"Good girl!" Lou exclaimed, he leaned over and kissed her lips. "You know how to solve a problem now!"

===============================

As it turned out the injury that Ethan caused on Jax, the beta of the Winter Moon pack, was quite severed. He had clawed Jax’s left eyes too deep and now his left eye was blind.

Oh. Ethan regretted it... he should make him completely blind.

"An eye for an eye!" Jax roared, as he stood next to alpha Nolan. He glared at Ethan with his healthy eyes, which now seemingly suffused with venom and hatred. "I want his eyes too!"

"I am here to apologize," Ethan stated, he didn’t interest to hear Jax’s wailing for justice. This was funny to hear someone like them demanded justice. "If you want to punish me, you have to discuss this with my alpha," he said nonchalantly.

Currently, Ethan was inside the room that filled with people, who wanted to shred him to pieces, but the gamma didn’t show any hint of fear whatsoever.

"I have apologized and now I need to leave, there is a lot of things I need to take care of," Ethan excused himself, but four warriors stopped him in his track, as they stood in front of the door. "Do you want to keep me here?"

"Gamma Ethan. I don’t think you understand the situation well enough," alpha Nolan finally spoke, he leaned forward in his chair. He looked so old and calculative.

"I am sure, I understand it very well, alpha Nolan." Ethan kept his voice even. "Everything that happened is not entirely my fault. If you can discipline your beta better and he could keep his mouth shut, all of this will never happen and he will not suffer the consequences of his own action." He swiftly shifted the blame on Jax instead. Being so close with Cane all this time had shaped him to be cunning too.

When Ethan could control his anger and emotion, he knew when to play innocent and read the situation better.

"Are you trying to blame my beta for the reason why you attacked him?" Alpha Nolan narrowed his eyes.

"Yes!" Ethan replied shamelessly, which set Jax off, he really wanted to shift into his beast, but the healer told him not to shift, until his left eye healed. Currently, he had a bandage over his head to cover his blind eye.

"The audacity!"

"Gauge his eyes!"

"An eye for an eye!"

There was an uproar inside the room. There were around twelve people here and they were from Winter Moon pack.
