The journey from the Howling Wolf pack to the Blue Moon pack went uneventful, except for a few occasions they found flocks of crows, but it was not as brutal and many like the one that attacked their pack and Abby was able to take care of it.
Haco’s funeral happened in a very simple way, Carla took care of that. Celia was inconsolable, but she had Joyce and Leena, also all the orphanage children that they grew fond of.
Maria and Kaz begged the alpha to take care of the orphanage once they learned Hanna and Will would go into the journey. They gave up the idea of pleading with the alpha to go along like how Cane took Amee with him, because they finally realized, their presence would only worsen the luna’s condition.
More so, they really wanted to take care of the pack. Despite everything, there was no doubt the two of them cared about their pack, their home so much.
Cane gave the decision to Carla, since she was the one, who responsible for the pack house. Stone would be in charge for the pack, because Ethan and Jace came with Cane. There were not many warriors left behind, because Cane took almost all the warriors with him.
Therefore, Stone decided to close the gates. They wouldn’t open it until the alpha returned and kept everyone in the pack house.
Ezra would be Grilla’s responsibility, thankfully, the little white diamond tiger was not as craven as the first time he was being freed, he started to trust people around him, once he realized they wouldn’t hit him or hurt him.
Aside from the problem with Zale, who was caught sneaked into one of the carriages on their second day to the Blue Moon pack, there was nothing worth to note.
They couldn’t send Zale back to the Howling Wolf pack because they had gone too far and it would dangerous for him to travel alone, thus begrudgingly, Jace had to agree to take this brat with them.
He was not supposed to come, since he was too young.
"I will leave you in the Blue Moon pack," Ethan said in annoyance, but Zale only stared at him, as if telling the gamma, he would sneak into one of the carriages again. They were not going to leave him.
Meanwhile, Iris spent two days to sleep. She didn’t wake up unless it was time to eat or when she had to relieve herself, but aside from that, she was sleeping all day. The white rabbit was currently with Hanna, she took care of the animal, afraid the warriors would take it and roast it as their meal.
Redmond caught a glimpse of Iris once and she looked very different. She was... empty.
During these two days journey, they didn’t interact much, unless it was really necessary, as if there were this depressing cloud that loomed above their heads.
Even Lou and Ethan were not as chatty as usual. The merchant would spend his time inside his carriage with Nala, while Sabian acted like a coachman.
However, even when he was with Nala, Lou didn’t do anything to the woman, though she tried to engage with him.
"Leave me alone, I am not in the mood," Lou said. He spent his time inside the carriage sleeping. Didn’t want to be bothered by anything else.
Nala could only fume mad, but she didn’t mind it. She only craved some attention, but because there were so many people, she couldn’t come to Kian.
When they arrived at the Blue Moon pack, Iris stayed in her former bedroom. She stared at the room for a while, but aside from that, she was not responsive.
Abby managed to burn the crows that flocked around this pack the way Iris did it, but she fell sick afterward and couldn’t be bothered for two days.
While Redmond tried to assert his leadership on the former warrior of Blue Moon pack, Cane spent his time discussing their plan to take back the packs under the royal warriors. They couldn’t send scout, neither there was a hawk that survive if they sent message to know what happened to the other pack.
At this time, alpha Colter’s black witches force managed to hold back yet another attack of Kellan. If it was not for this, he would have fallen into the enemy’s hand, but it was not sure how long they could strive.
On the third night, Aliana entered the meeting room without knocking, where Cane was in the middle of discussion with Cedric and the Serafim, she looked panic.
Koda was not there. He didn’t hold any significant power and Cane still remembered his craven acted for hiding from the battle against Nolan and Gallot.
Currently, the two alphas were still laying naked, tying up at the carriage. Grace would come occasionally to keep them alive. They would be dragged to the Riverside pack or anywhere they could until Grace was no longer able to preserve their lives.
Meanwhile, Iris’s condition didn’t get better. She would ask for their baby occasionally, screaming and crying, but calmed down again after Cane held her.
Very often at night, Iris would wake up because she felt her breasts were painful. She was still lactating and she would wet the front of her dress.
Cane would wake up too and help her to go through this. Grace had told him what to do and the healer had concocted medicine to stop her from lactating, she couldn’t do it in an instant, because Iris’s body didn’t respond well to her healing power.
