"So, what can you offer?" Cane’s voice was very cold and dark. He looked like he had lost a lot of weight, which only emphasized his sharp features. He looked gloomy and wherever he went, people would shudder even when they only caught a glimpse of him.
He was akin to someone, who had never touched any joy or happiness in his life.
The aura that he gave off was akin to that moment when they were in slavery. His eyes filled with hatred and his present alone was very suffocating.
Even though Nolan and Gallot were also the alpha of their respective packs, none of them could be very dominance like Cane did. He looked like a sovereign, who stared disdainfully at his lowest subject. The king of the devil...
"Let me go and I will tell you what lady Cyan had planned. All she had planned with king Al... No... with Alan..." Gallot corrected himself, afraid it would piss Cane off to call Alan as the king, though in reality, the alpha didn’t give a shit about it.
"Speak," Cane curtly.
He was standing in front of the naked Gallot and Nolan, the two of them were beaten up, trembling because of the cold weather. Everyday, they would be dragged around to be humiliated and after that a healer would be called to keep them alive. This life was worse than death.
Cane refused to meet with them until now when they said there were important things they would divulge about the activity of the king... the Decratic.
Not so long, Abby came also with her five knights, but she immediately averted her eyes to see the condition of the two of them.
Liam immediately took off his cloak and Cedric did the same to cover Gallot and Nolan, not out of pity, but because this sight was not appropriate for Abby to see, but they needed to hear this since this was related to Decratic.
Cane didn’t object that, he only stared down at Gallot, indicating for him to keep talking.
However, all Gallot said was something they already knew. From Kellan, who led the warriors and besieged Diandem pack, where alpha Colter was trapped there, until the black magic that they used.
Gallot became even more frantic when he watched how Cane and the Serafim was not interested with his information.
Nolan chimed in, he remembered something more crucial that he learned from Zeke. "Alan is in the untouched land in the Celestial Moon pack, Zeke said, there is something there. You must have learned about this, you must be aware that the activities of the monsters are very strange! They don’t hibernate like usual, even though it is winter! They have been going to the north, because Alan and Zeke are doing something there!"
Cedric asked a few more question, while Cane let him and after an hour of interrogation and they were sure there was nothing could be squeezed out of Nolan’s mouth, Cane went to get a glass of water to drink, drank the water and crushed it within his grip.
"What are you doing?!" Cedric was alarmed.
Blood dripped from his wounds when he approached Gallot with pieces of sharp shards in his hand. The alpha crouched down, his eyes were fixated on Gallot.
"No more you can give us?"
Gallot wrecked his brain, trying to remember an important information like Nolan did, he even tried to come up with something, but before he could make an elaborate story, Cane had shoved the pieces of sharp shards in his hands into his mouth.
Thankfully, Liam was quick enough to react, he immediately covered Abby’s eyes to prevent her from seeing such brutal thing and took her away from there.
"You don’t need to do that! He had told us everything he knew!" Cedric snarled at Cane, but one look from the alpha was enough to shut him up.
"Which made him useless now."
Chill ran down their spines to witness the brutality of the alpha, as Cane pinned Gallot down, forcing him to swallow the sharp shard, which cut his mouth and throat. His eyes bulged, as he kept vomiting blood from between his fingers.
"You are being unnecessary cruel!" Cedric remarked.
"This is how we are doing thing in Ogregon Continent," Cane replied coldly. He watched with interest how Gallot was dying.
He was not going to die, at least not yet. He needed to suffer a little bit more. Cane closed Gallot’s mouth, while he was struggling, until he swallowed all the sharp shards and passed out.
Meanwhile, Nolan wetted himself, he had never been so scared in his entire life before. His hatred and wrath toward Cane for him killing his son had evaporated, replaced by a complete fear for him.
