Thankfully with the large number of knights, warriors and magic users, the bracken didn’t last for tomorrow, but it made them wondered why the sudden change with their meal.
Still, that was only a silly thing that they pushed on the back of their mind the next day, because there was an important thing to be solved.
The magic users gave up, they had wasted so many magic stones and Elder Rose had been very exhausted when she supported them by summoning the Sylph, still there was no result and Elder Xarex was stubborn enough not to let Abby do anything about this situation.
Instead, he went to bother Cane in order to let Iris solve the problem. Obviously, Cane wouldn’t let them get what they wanted.
"The elders become very restless," Jace said. He informed Cane, as they walked among the warriors to watch their training. "They demand to meet with the luna."
"She is sick."
"Cane, I don’t think you can use that excuse for long. They had seen Iris walked around the tent and she was fine." Jace had not yet learned about Iris’s pregnancy.
Right now, Iris was always accompanied by Hanna, Amee, Aliana and her five warriors, but she was sure Cane had stationed more warriors close to her, because she kept seeing the same warriors hang around her.
And as if what Jace had summoned the elders, they actually bumped onto Elder Dandolf.
"Alpha Cane, beta Jace," he greeted them. "There is something I want to talk with you, alpha Cane."
"If this is about the problem with the shield, I need to reject it. My mate is still sick." Cane immediately cut to the point.
Jace could only grimace, he had told Cane not to overuse the same excuse.
"Let me see her, I think we as the elder from the Holy Kingdom is way more familiar with divine power than your healer." Elder Dandolf talked smoothly, having his way in to see Iris.
"No need to bother. The healer has been taking care of her since the very beginning. She knew what she needs to do."
"But, she is still sick."
"In that case, don’t you think the Serafim is the right person to check on her? Since the two of them have the same divine power?" Cane smiled harmlessly. "I think I will appreciate it more if the Serafim was the one, who came to visit my mate."
Iris had told him about Abby’s offer. She was willing to tell her everything she knew about Rei, the information that even Cane’s spies and Lou couldn’t get.
But, the problem was; they couldn’t meet with Abby. They had not yet seen her for weeks now. It could be said Abby had not yet stepped out of the tent at all.
"Let me know when the Serafim will be able to visit my mate." Cane didn’t wait for elder Dandolf to respond to his suggestion, he walked away with his beta.
