Chapter 676: Three Dragons In The Demon Realm

Far away, beyond the mountains, a troop of demons stood restless, their eyes fixed on a particular spot ahead. A change in energy crackled in the air as if someone had been tampering with the shield around the demon realm.

"Stay on guard," commanded Everton, the troop leader. His voice was heavy, loud, and commanding. "If it’s those deities trying to infiltrate our realm and harm us, make sure none of them return alive today. Be it a god of war or the king of heaven himself, we will leave no one alive. We are demons, the most powerful beings of the three realms."

In response, the entire troop raised their swords, their cheers and battle cries echoing through the surroundings.

Soon, the sky before them began to darken, as if a gate to the demon realm was opening, taking them all by surprise.

"Absolute darkness," the leader murmured.

"Vice Commander, it seems like they are not deities but one of us," a soldier commented.

The leader nodded. "Deities do not possess the power of darkness. But who could it be?"

"The previous Lord, perhaps. He possesses absolute darkness, other than our princess."

The leader’s eyes narrowed at the darkness ahead. "Has anyone informed Lord Tharzimon?"

"Yes, the commander himself has gone to inform him," the soldier replied. "It would be good if the previous Lord is back..."

"Do not spout nonsense," the leader glared at him. "The previous Lord is dead. Do not let Lord Tharzimon hear you saying this."

The soldier immediately lowered his head. "Y-Yes, Vice Commander."

Just then, an immense pressure filled the air, emanating from the swirling darkness.

"Be ready!" the commander shouted. "Whoever it is, capture or kill them!"

Boom!

A powerful explosion shook the mountains, throwing the entire demon troop back with immense force. The ground trembled as if an intense earthquake had struck, leaving chaos in its wake.

Cough! Cough! Cough!

Three figures appeared on the rocky floor, thrown there by the explosion of their own powers clashing with the shield around the demon realm. Arlan, Drayce, and Draven, the three dragons, lay sprawled on the ground, their energy seemingly drained.

"Are we here?" Arlan asked between coughs, panting heavily, as if they had gone through the great ordeal.

Looking up at the sky, which seemed different from the sky in the human realm, Draven hummed, "Seems like it."

Drayce, groaning beside them, muttered, "I’ve never felt this weak in my entire life. Your mate has created one hell of a powerful shield that drained all our energy."

"Don’t forget you’ve adopted her as your sister. Go and complain to her yourself," Arlan replied, sitting up and trying to see through the dust-filled air.

"Then I’ll choose to feel proud instead for having such a sister," Drayce said, sitting up as well.

"If we’re this powerless and weak after teleporting here, what about Oriana?" Arlan asked, worry evident in his voice.

"She must be weak as well," Drayce added.

Arlan gritted his teeth, worry paining his face. "That demon..."

"She is smart. She can protect herself," Drayce assured. "She is, after all, a resident of this realm. They won’t dare harm their princess."

Arlan hummed, "I believe she will protect herself till we find her."

Drayce seemingly not in s serious mood, chuckled softly. "Never thought your in-laws would be from this far of a place. All the best."

"I am not wrong, practically, your are the same if you think about your wife’s mother and her origin," Arlan countered, "Just pray they won’t take Seren away saying a deity of earth should stay in heavenly realm."

"They would be asking for a trouble," Drayce retorted.

Draven remained calm and composed, unlike the other two. His red eyes keenly scrutinizing the surroundings through the dust filled thick air. "Our entry into the demon realm has caused quite a show. It must have already alerted them."

"We have to be ready to fight," Arlan added with a nod.

"Before that, remember what Mother and Lady Sierra said," Drayce reminded them. "Though we are the most powerful in the mortal world, we are still earthly supernaturals, and demons are much more powerful than us. If we can’t fight, do not hesitate to give up and step back. We need a strategy before facing them..."

"Wait," Draven interrupted, his ears twitching.

Drayce and Arlan felt it too.

Arlan frowned. "Seems like we’re going to have a welcome fight." He stood up, followed by the other two.

The dust began to clear, making the visibility better. A group of demons stood at a distance, their appearances distorted as if they had been through a storm.

"Are those demons or some wildlings?" Drayce chuckled softly.
