The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 254

"This is Lincoln Riley. I'm sure you already know him. You can expect to interact with him more in the future," Shaun said with a cheerful smile as he gestured to Lincoln by his side.

George quickly extended his hand with a gracious smile. "How could I not know Mr. Riley? Everyone in Bellington knows you. You've been a tremendous help to us, and we owe you our gratitude."

With that, George promptly introduced Audrey and Kara to Lincoln, who merely squeezed out a perfunctory smile, appearing indifferent and uninterested.

Shaun then gestured to Ironhead. "Now, let me formally introduce this person. Mr. Weiss, Kara, this is Mr. Ironhead, Gregory's right-hand man and most trusted confidant. You may not be familiar with his name, but his status is widely known across the Eastern State."

Ironhead raised his head proudly and said, "Status? I'm just Gregory's dog. I'm no one special."

His words were modest, but his tone carried an undeniable arrogance, proving that his status was not simple. Plus, his title as Gregory's right-hand man was enough to place him highly amongst the people of the Eastern State.

George quickly extended both hands and laughed nervously. "Mr. Ironhead, your presence is truly an honor. Please enjoy yourself tonight, and if anything is lacking in our hospitality, do forgive us."

Ironhead casually shook George's hand before shifting his gaze to the visibly pale Audrey. He asked with a smirk, "You're Audrey?"
