Linda clenched her fists tightly. So, Stephen had betrayed her. Otherwise, Hera wouldn't have successfully exposed her. If only the time bomb had reduced Hera to ashes.
"Planting bombs, causing panic, and instigating others to murder—whether it's directly or indirectly—Daphne, Queenie, Isabella, and Madison… All these crimes are enough to sentence you to death!" Nathan banged on the table while reminding Linda.
"Don't expect the Killians to protect you. Chad Killian has already dismissed Rhett Killian from his duties as CEO due to the investigation. Besides, Frederick Killian is still missing. I'm sure you want to see him one last time before the execution, right?"
After hearing that, Linda's initial stubbornness to confess anything instantly crumbled. She decided to give in.
"Yes, I asked Queenie to kill Daphne!" she said while looking down.
Nathan asked, "Why did you do that?"
"She knew too much!" Linda's expression turned sinister while speaking.
Nathan narrowed his eyes. "What did she know?"
Linda did not continue and began to mock Nathan, "Isn't the police usually very capable? You can go find out for yourselves!"
"Did Daphne discover who actually murdered Greg Killian? Is that why you became frightened and decided to have her killed?" Nathan asked tentatively.
Linda's expression darkened. "I don't know. You can't trick me into answering!"
"I advise you to tell me the truth of what happened that year! You'll be redeeming yourself for the crimes you've done. I can even help you avoid the death penalty!" Nathan exclaimed in a threatening manner.
"You're saying that I can escape the death sentence, but I'll still have to pay for my crimes, right?" Linda asked.
"You might be able to fool others with that, but not me! Don't think I don't know that you police officers are very cunning. After tricking others into confessing their crimes, you'll still punish them accordingly."
