Josephine was rendered speechless. She performed a mental calculation and realized that the asset notarization process would be completed in a day or two.

Once that was done, she could officially file for divorce from Zayn.

The thought of it calmed her down.

"If you're here to stand up for Nadine, let me make it clear, she's the one who provoked me first. Last night, she hired the paparazzi to secretly take photos of me—"

Before she could finish her sentence, Zayn cut her off. "To spy on you and Ethan."

"You knew?" Her eyes widened in disbelief. "Did you two come up with this scheme together?"

Zayn let out a cold chuckle. "I don't have that much free time. I know what kind of person you are. If Nadine hadn't provoked you, you wouldn't do such a thing. So, I asked her directly."

Josephine didn't understand. "If you knew, why did you come and question me? Do you think I shouldn't have taught her a lesson? Or are you feeling sorry for her?"

"Feel sorry for her? No way!"

Zayn took a few steps toward her, forcing her back to hit the wall. He then took the opportunity and pinned her against the wall.

"There are many ways for you to teach her a lesson. Why must you drag me and the Forbes family into trouble? Do you have any idea how stupid that was? You might have hurt me, but you surely wounded yourself!"

His nose was almost touching hers, so she could feel his breath on her face.

Josephine turned to look away. She put her hands on his shoulders, trying to push him off. However, when she noticed his hand that was in a cast, she eased her strength.

"I know that Forbes Group was greatly impacted, but it's none of my business. I didn't lose anything."

Zayn scoffed. "You didn't lose anything? How naive. Do you think the shareholders of Forbes Group will just sit back and watch? Do you think Dad won't do anything?

"They had nothing to do with Nadine before this, but now, they are forced to take her side to go against you. Do you still think you didn't lose anything?"

He pulled out his phone and placed it in front of her, showing over a hundred missed calls.

"Dad wants me back in Crestwood immediately. Do you know what trouble I'll be walking into the moment I get there?"
