An assassin was dragged to the market square and executed. This news spread like wildfire through Capitalia.
Some said she was a rebel’s daughter who dared insult Prince Leon, and as a killer who had taken lives, such a woman deserved execution.
But this execution reminded many of one particular person–Priscilla McBride–the woman Prince Waldo brought from Sandspire..
Priscilla was the daughter of a rebel, and her disrespect towards Prince Waldo went far beyond mere insolence. Rumor has it that she slapped His Highness right in front of everyone.
That was worse than just disrespect. Laying a hand on royalty was a capital crime.
But instead of punishing her, Prince Waldo treasured her deeply, handling her with such care as if afraid she might break from the slightest mishandling.
“I heard from the servants at Leon House,” one of the townsfolk whispered, “That woman was downright haughty when she first arrived. She even dared to call His Highness son of a bitch. Tsk, serves the bitch right!”
Another townfolk added, “But I heard she was stunning! What a pity, His Highness not only beat her, but also ruined her face, leaving her disfigured.”
“I guess Prince Leon can’t always keep his gentle demeanor around women.”
One of the townsfolk whispered, “Even faced with such stunning beauty, Prince Leon could be so ruthless, so cruel… Do you think maybe he’s not into women? It’s just a guess.”
“That’s nonsense! Prince Leon has been devoted to Ms. Yates for years. He hasn’t taken any woman to his manor for her sake.”
“Well, maybe that’s just an excuse he made. Maybe Prince Leon isn’t into women and is just using her as a cover,” someone gossiped. “Haven’t you heard? All of his Eighteen Riders are incredibly handsome–each one more dashing than the last!”
Someone nodded. “You might be onto something there. I haven’t seen the Eighteen Riders myself, but those two bodyguards by Prince Leon’s side? They’re both real heart–throbs!”
“Wait, could it be… Prince Leon is into men?”
Outside, rumors were flying fast. Meanwhile, some people were burning with rage.
“What? He likes men?” the masked man in black cloak roared, smashing his goblet to the ground in fury.
“I refuse to believe he’s into that!” Yuna shouted, sitting across from the man in black. But in contrast to the masked man’s fury, Yuna seemed rather pleased with herself.
There was even a hint of amusement in her eyes that she couldn’t hide. “I’ve always felt that Prince Leon is different from most men. It’s not easy to place our people around him.”
Cecilia used the same trick as Priscilla. In terms of looks, she was even more beautiful than Priscilla. Yet while Prince Waldo treasured Priscilla like the rarest gem, Cecilia ended up executed in the street.
Though neither had a happy ending, Priscilla fared far better than Cecilia.
Prince Leon wasn’t just lacking in tenderness toward women–he was downright brutal and merciless. Coupled with the eerie mask he wore day in and day out, most women often kept a wary distance from him.
But Yuna was different. ‘I can only feel satisfied by conquering a man like him.
‘I can’t wait to see that ruthless man fall before me, worshiping and begging for my love,” Yuna thought, and a thrill of anticipation ran through her
“Sir,” Yuna said eagerly, “let me try this time…”
