A sharp pain shot through the Hall Master’s shoulder, instantly cutting off his voice. Not a word could escape him. He thought in dismay, ‘Damn it, Lucy fell for their trap again!‘

‘That damned Lucy. This time, she’s going to be the death of our boss!‘ the Hall Master thought bitterly.
After subduing the Hall Master, Jessica ordered, “Guards, take him back and question him thoroughly.” Only then did she walk to the window.
“She’s already long gone, even I might not be able to catch up now. Are you certain your people can still track her down?” Leon also gazed out the window. He wasn’t bragging about his skills, but if someone could outrun even him, there were few in this world who could catch up.
The street below gradually filled with people, and soon the once–quiet street was bustling with life. The maid Lucy vanished without a trace. On this crowded street, finding her trail would be nearly impossible. Regardless, Jessica remained surprisingly calm, simply enjoying the view below.
“You had someone tailing her?” Leon asked. “That’s probably the only way. Otherwise, how else could you track down someone who’s already gone so far? Not to mention her exceptional agility.”
Jessica replied, “The Queen’s mind is hard for either of us to fathom. For someone so calculating to have kept Lucy by her side for so long without ever suspecting anything unusual about her proves how exceptionally vigilant she must be.”
Lucy sighed and added, “If we sent someone after her, she’d spot the tail in no time.”
Leon walked over to stand beside her, and they gazed at the view below. “So?” he asked.
The morning sun rose, its golden rays bathing the pair as their long shadows stretched out behind them. As Leon turned around, he saw their silhouette so intimately intertwined that it was hard to tell where one ended and the other began.
Leon’s eyes shimmered with amusement. “How are you so sure you can get her back?”
Jessica answered, “While talking to her earlier, I slipped some tracking powder onto her when she wasn’t looking.”
