Austin grabbed Suzanne's hand and said, "Don't fool around. I'm driving."
She retracted her hand, crossed her arms across her chest, and replied with a smile, "Okay, fine."
They fell into a comfortable and heartwarming silence in the car. Suzanne could sense that they were gradually getting closer to each other, and she liked the feeling a lot.
For the next few days, Suzanne and Austin got busy with their work.
Finally, on Friday night, Suzanne could finally take a breather. After work, she was driving toward the sunset heading to Starview Villa when she received a call from Cheryl while waiting for the traffic light to turn green.
Suzanne answered the call with a smile. "Hey."
Cheryl asked, "Suzanne, what are you doing right now? Let me treat you to dinner."
Their relationship had gotten better ever since Suzanne helped Cheryl get a job. However, Cheryl was still worried that Suzanne might turn her down.
Suzanne thought about how Austin was at a business event and he wouldn't be home, so she agreed to it immediately. "Sure. Where shall we eat?"
Cheryl sighed in relief before replying with a smile, "I'll send you the address right away." She did it quickly as if she was afraid that Suzanne might get mad if she did it any slower.
Once Cheryl sent the address, she asked Suzanne, "I've sent it to you. Did you receive it?"
Suzanne looked at the notification on her phone. "Mhm, see you soon."
With that, she hung up.
She entered the address into the GPS and headed directly to the restaurant. Due to the end-of-day rush hour, what would have taken her 20 minutes took her 35 minutes instead. When she arrived at the restaurant, all the tables were filled.
Suzanne raised an eyebrow. The restaurant sure was doing well.
